  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Calling all math lovers! Math Counts will host its first meeting TODAY in room 219 during ASP 1.  The focus will be on learning problem solving skills to prepare for the Math Counts Chapter competition in February. See Ms. Rixey with any questions.  Hooray for math!!

  • Read any good books lately? The Talk about Books Club — a.k.a. TAB — will host it’s first meeting on TUESDAY during all grade level lunches in the library. No need to sign-up in advance — just bring your lunch and come take a look at these Totally Awesome Books!! See Ms. Tan with any questions.

  • Attention all students who auditioned for the WMS Fall play — The Snow Queen!  We’re ready for CALLBACKS.  Please check the Callback List posted outside of the cafeteria or by room 228.  If you see your name, Callbacks will be held this TUESDAY in the auditorium.  But please note:  even if you DON’T see your name on the callback list, you COULD still be in the show.  The final cast list will be announced later this week.  Break a leg!

  • Calling all basket-ballers!! Tryouts for the WMS Boys Basketball team begin on October 14th.  Interested players should sign-up using the QR codes outside of the Activities Office. And don’t forget that you need a current physical on file in order to participate.  See Coach Clark for more information about boys basketball, or Ms. Hogwood with any questions about physicals.

  • The WMS Best Buddies Club is preparing for a new year!  This inspirational club promotes inclusion and connection between students with and without disabilities.  And you can make some GREAT new friends in the process.  The first Best Buddies meeting will be on Friday, October 17th during TA in the cafeteria.  To participate, please write your name, grade, and TA teacher on a piece of paper and place it in the box now located in the cafeteria.   • October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  To show our support, we’re raising money with a “Pie the Teacher” contest!  And YOU get to choose who it’s gonna be!  Three brave teachers from each grade have volunteered.  And whichever teacher raised the most money during lunch this month will get pied on October 30th.  So let’s come together as a community, have some fun, and support Breast Cancer Awareness.  Thanks for your help, wolves!!

  • October is also National Bullying Prevention Month! So for the next two weeks, we’ll be sharing quick tips on how to stop bullying.  Today’s topic: Bullying 101. Bullying isn’t just physical — it can be words, leaving someone out, spreading rumors, or even posting online. This week in Wolf Time, you’ll learn how to spot it — and how to STOP IT.  Thanks for supporting Bullying Prevention Month, wolves!!
