  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Read any good books lately? The Talk about Books Club — a.k.a. TAB — will be meeting TODAY during all grade level lunches in the library. If you like to read; if you like to talk about books; if you want to know more about the library; or even if you just want to meet new people and have fun at lunch, then TAB is the club for you!  No sign-up is necessary — just bring your lunch to the library and get ready for a look at these Totally Awesome Books!!

  • What are you doing after school this year?!  This is the first official week of after school activities and late buses.  Daily options for after school activities are listed on the whiteboard outside the cafeteria. And if you plan on taking the late bus, be sure to get a signed bus pass from your teacher or the activity sponsor. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • And speaking of after school activities — Williamsburg is making an open call to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders for the Student Council!  The Student Council helps to plan all of the amazing school-wide events throughout the year — and it’s a real opportunity for you to step-up and be a LEADER here at WMS.  For more information, see Ms. Hogwood at lunch.

  • Inked — the WMS creative writing club — starts today, in room C101 during ASP 1.  If you like to write, Inked is the club for you!!  Come check it out!  See Ms. Martin with any questions.

  • The award-winning Model UN Club kicks-off another year today in room C105 during ASP I.  All are welcome — whether you signed up at the Activities Fair or not.  Today’s participants will get a feel for how the United Nations solves problems by COMPROMISING and voting on proposals. See Mr. McDermott with any questions.

  • This is a reminder for all students planning to tryout for the Wolfbots robotics team — tryouts will be on THURSDAY after school in room 129.  See Coach Dude with any questions about Wolfbots Robotics.

  • Calling all athletes!! If you want to participate in Boys Basketball or Girls Soccer this year, you MUST have a physical on file by next Thursday, October 12th.  You ONLY need to submit ONE physical for the entire year — so if you’ve already submitted one, you’re good!  And don’t forget to scan the QR code outside of Ms. Hogwood’s office to register!

  • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I am hopeful because…” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts.  The deadline to submit is Tuesday, November 21st.
