- Today is an EARLY RELEASE day, so the schedule is a little different than usual. We will be following a modified C-Day schedule. That means TA ends at 7:55, and then you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7. Be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a modified C-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Believe it or not, but the end of the first quarter is next Monday. So be sure to check StudentVue and talk to your teachers about any missing assignments or make-up work. Again, 1st Quarter grades close next Monday.
. - And speaking of the end-of-the quarter, it’s nearly time for the 1st quarter Wolf Paw Drawing!! That’s right — the 1st Quarter Wolf Paw Drawing is this FRIDAY. But to be eligible for a prize, you MUST submit your Wolf Paws by TODAY. Once again, TODAY is your last chance to submit your Wolf Paws for the 1st quarter Wolf Paw Drawing. Good luck!!
. - Attention all Anime-niacs! Due to the early release, there is NO Anime Club meeting today. But remember to keep working on your T-shirt designs for next week. The winner will get a special prize! See Ms. Armistead with any questions.
. - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And to show our support, WMS is raising money with a “Pie the Teacher” contest! To participate, just make a donation to the teacher of your choice during your grade-level lunch. And whichever teacher raises the most money will get PIED at the end of the week. So let’s come together as a community, have some fun, and support Breast Cancer Awareness. Thanks for your help, wolves!!
. - WMS is working with the Crayon Initiative — an organization that recycles old crayons, then makes NEW ones for kids in the hospital. We’ve already collected nearly 8-THOUSAND crayons, so let’s see how many more we can get by this Friday. Just drop them off in room 106. See Mr. Thompson with any questions. And thanks for supporting the Crayon Initiative!
.
It’s Red Ribbon Week here at WMS — the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation. Thanks to everyone who wore BOOTS today for our theme: Give Drugs the Boot!!
.
And here are the themes for the rest of the week: Thursday is “Pink Out Day” — so wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. And Friday is “Superhero Halloween Day” — so dress up as your favorite superhero, or any other costume you’d like. Thanks for supporting Red Ribbon Week, and for pledging to stay drug free!!
