  • Due to the off-day last Friday, our A-B rotation has changed. Today we will be following the A-Day schedule.  Again, this is an A-Day — not a B-Day — an A-DAY. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Thanks to all the students and staff who wore their Williamsburg gear for SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY — in support of Red Ribbon Week and keeping our community drug-free. And here’s the schedule for rest of our Red Ribbon celebration — Tuesday is CRAZY HAIR & SOCKS DAY; Wednesday is RED CLOTHING DAY; and finally Thursday is SUPERHERO DAY. Take the pledge to live a drug-free life — and BE A PART OF THE PRIDE!!

  • Attention 6th graders — It’s time to GET DOWN and BOOOOOOOO-gie! Just in time for Halloween, the WMS Spook-tacular Dance Party is coming at you — courtesy of the WMS PTA. The 6th grade party is scheduled for this TUESDAY, October 29th — during ASP 1 and 2 in the cafeteria — so you can still take the late bus home. There will be food, a DJ, dancing, games, raffles, prizes and more. And please — despite the Halloween theme — NO COSTUMES. Trick or Treat, wolves!!
    .
  • Halloween Costume Guidelines, 2019And speaking of Halloween — this THURSDAY is the big day — All Hallow’s Eve! — and students are encouraged to dress up in your best costume for the occasion. However, there are some important guidelines that you need to follow. Basically, costumes must conform to the WMS dress code, not offend anyone, no weapons, no masks, nothing inappropriate — and everything else you see on your screen. And if you’re not sure — err on the side of caution and DON’T WEAR IT!  See your grade-level Assistant Principal with any questions. Thanks for understanding, and have a Happy Halloween, wolves!
    .
  • And if you DO dress up — you could also win some amazing PRIZES!  The PE department will be hosting its annual Halloween Costume Contest in the gym — this Thursday during all Health and PE classes.  And elective teachers are welcome to bring your students, too!  Costumes MUST adhere to the WMS costume guidelines, and masks and props may ONLY be worn during the contest itself — then be immediately returned to your locker.  Winners will be chosen by your peers.  GHOUL luck, Halloween wolves!!
    .
  • Good news, procrastinators!!  The deadline for the annual PTA Reflections Contest has been EXTENDED until this Wednesday, October 30th. So whether you’re an artist, a musician, an actor, or a designer — you’ve still got time to make something AWESOME.  This year’s theme is “Look Within.” Just pick up an application form and turn in your project to the submission box in the Library. Get to work, creative wolves!!
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, or ANYTHING else — please submit the online “Student Tech. Help Request” form through the WMS website. Ms. Solomon’s got the solution! So submit today — and get yourself back online.

  • And finally today — the Washington Nationals hosted games 3 through 5 of the World Series this weekend — and it was absolutely ABYSMAL!  WOLF-TV student-reporter Elijah D. is standing-by with the latest results.
    .
  • ELIJAH:  Hello, Nats Nation!  I wish I had better news for you, but the situation is dire.  The Nationals dropped ALL THREE games against the Astros this weekend:  1 to 4, 1 to 8, and 1 to 7.  And to add “injury to insult” — Nats ace Max Scherzer was unable to pitch yesterday due to painful neck spasms.  Washington is now just one loss away from elimination.  The series returns to Houston tomorrow night, where the Nats will be fighting for their lives with pitcher Stephen Strasburg on the mound.  Let’s Finish the Fight!
