  • Today is an EARLY RELEASE day, so the schedule is a little different than usual.  We will be following a modified “Anchor” C-Day schedule. That means TA ends at 7:59, and then you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7.  Be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is a modified “Anchor” C-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Believe it or not, but the 1st Quarter is rapidly coming to a close. Which means: it’s almost time for the Wolf Paw Drawing!!! That’s right — the 1st Quarter Wolf Paw Drawing will be held this FRIDAY during TA. But to be eligible for a prize, you MUST submit your Wolf Paws by the end-of-the-day TODAY.  And if you’d like a sneak-peak at the prizes, go check-out the display case by the library. There’s some great stuff in there — so stop dawdling and turn in your Paws TODAY!

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The boys Ultimate team won against Kenmore this week — 10 to 7 — with a strong showing from 8th graders Teddy S., Lucas W., and Micheal B.  They also beat Swanson in 2 out of 3 games, winning lopsided victories of 13 to 1 and 13 to 3.
    .
Meanwhile, our 6th graders lost a close one — 7 to 5 — against a team of mostly 7th graders.  Ben H., Brady F., Damon M., and JP O. played incredible defense, and were winging first-throw STRIKES down the field.  All told, the Boys Ultimate team is looking STRONG this season.  Way to go, frisbee wolves!! [clap]

  • Red Ribbon Week, 2021It’s “Red Ribbon Week” here at WMS — raising AWARENESS about the dangers of drug use, and to educate young people in our community about drug-free activities.  At WMS we want you to stay happy and healthy. But if you need to talk, support is available! Find a trusted adult in the building — like a school counselor, a teacher, an administrator, or your school substance abuse counselor. They’re here for YOU.
    .
Thanks to all the students and staff who wore PINK today in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, and our daily theme —  Show You Care, Be Aware!  And here’s the schedule for the rest of the week —  Thursday is School Spirit Day, and Friday is WEAR RED DAY. And be sure to join your counselor and members of the Williamsburg Youth Task Force during lunch today to show your school spirit for Red Ribbon Week!!
