  • Today we will be following the BLUE DAY schedule.  That means we start with an extended TA until 8:25.  During this time, teachers may request to meet with students for individualized help and instruction.  Otherwise, students will remain in their TAs and use this extra time to organize, study, or read!
    .
After that, you’ll proceed to periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is BLUE day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • It’s “Red Ribbon Week” here at WMS!! And today, we’re asking EVERYONE to pledge their commitment to living a happy, healthy, drug-free life.
    .
So at this time, would all students please RISE, hold up your right hand, and repeat after us as we recite the Red Ribbon Pledge.
    .
  • I pledge to grow up SAFE, HEALTHY, and DRUG FREE.
    .
Understand the dangers of drug use and abuse.
    .
Respecting myself and being drug free.
    .
And spreading the word to family and friends.
    .
About the importance of being healthy and drug free.
    .
Thank you, and you may be seated.
    .
  • And now, here’s what’s on tap for the rest of the week:  today and tomorrow at lunch, you’ll have the chance to enter the Red Ribbon Week raffle and win some cool prizes!  All you have to do is recite to Red Ribbon Week Pledge FROM MEMORY, and you’re eligible.  And then on Friday, we’ll be creating drug-free SLOGANS.
    .
Thanks to all the students and staff who wore blue and white today for our theme:  We have WOLF PACK PRIDE!!   And please be sure to wear mismatched clothing tomorrow for our next theme:  Don’t let drugs mix you up! Thanks for putting the W-in-Everything, Williamsburg — and for staying DRUG FREE!!

    .
  • Are you ready to FALL for math? Come to room 105 on Thursdays during ASP1 for the Math Counts Club. See Mrs. Miller with any questions! Hooray for math!!
    .
  • Attention TSA and Wolfbots!!  Mr. Dudek is out of the building this week, so all TSA and Wolfbots meeting are CANCELLED.  But they WILL pick up again next week.  Please email Mr. Dudek with any questions.
    .
  • The PE Fall Gear Sale is open for business!  From now until November 19th, WMS families may purchase hoodies, long-sleeved t-shirts, joggers, or leggings through the online store.  It’s a great way to show your Wolf Pack Pride — AND to stay warm on these cold fall days.  See your PE teacher with any questions about ordering.
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  The boys Ultimate team played a trio of games against Thomas Jefferson on Monday — and they got a little bit of everything.
    .
First up, our 8th graders couldn’t quite overcome TJ’s tough defense, and took a tough loss.  Next, our 6th graders were matched up against a team of 7th graders.  We were trailing early, but stormed back and got a well-earned tie — 8 to 8.
    .
And finally, our other 6th grade team got a big win against TJ’s 6th graders.  It started out close, but we pulled away in the 2nd half.  Great games by everyone — win, lose, or draw.  Way to go, Ultimate Wolves!! [clap]
