  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  To show our support, we’re raising money with a “Pie the Teacher” contest!  And YOU get to choose who it’s gonna be!  Three brave teachers from each grade have volunteered.  And whichever teacher raises the most money during lunch this month will get pied on October 30th.  So let’s come together as a community, have some fun, and support Breast Cancer Awareness.  Thanks for your help, wolves!!

  • Unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest! This year’s theme is: “I Belong!” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. The deadline to submit is Friday, November 21st. Go to the Williamsburg website for more information.  Let’s see what you can create, Williamsburg!!

  • Attention all fans of high school sports!!  Throughout the year, Yorktown High School will be hosting numerous games and tournaments after school. But unless you’re a member of the team, you MUST be escorted by a parent or responsible adult.  Otherwise, you will NOT be allowed inside.  This policy goes for all APS schools.  Once again, you must have an adult present to attend high school sports.
    .
  • And now for an important SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT for all students!  When crossing the street on the way to school or on the way home, please DO NOT USE YOUR iPHONE!!  Distracted walking is incredibly dangerous, so you really need to pay attention to the traffic around you.  Once again, put down your phone in the crosswalk — and STAY SAFE!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to the WMS Boys Ultimate team — who swept all THREE of their matches against TJ last Wednesday.
    .
The 6th grade team looked unstoppable — winning 7 to 2. The 7th grade team came on strong in the end — winning 8 to 3.  And the 8th grade team won an absolute thriller — 9 to 8 — scoring the game winning goal as time expired.  Way to go, Ultimate wolves!! [clap]
