- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Calling all MUNNERS!! The Model UN Club is meeting TODAY during ASP I in room C105. Permission slips for the upcoming GW Conference are due, and participants will go over proper attire and parliamentary procedures for the conference. Plus, you’ll be starting a new simulation determined by attendees. New members are welcome! See Mr. McDermott with any questions.
. - Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “Accepting Imperfections.” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. The deadline to submit is Friday, November 22nd. Go to wmspta.org for more information. Unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest today!!
. - The Annual Fall PE Gear Sale is open for business! From now until November 19th, WMS families may purchase hoodies, long-sleeved t-shirts, joggers, or leggings through the online store — accessible through the WMS website. It’s a great way to show your Wolf Pack Pride — AND to stay warm on these cold fall days. See your PE teacher with any questions about ordering.
. - Have you checked the lost and found lately? It’s overflowing with water bottles, lunch boxes, hats, sweatshirts, and more! If you’ve lost anything, there’s a HUGE lost-and-found located in the cafeteria. You should also check the lost and found in each of your teachers’ classrooms. And for lost iPADS, check the bin in the main office.
. - It’s Red Ribbon Week here at WMS. This year’s theme is “Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free.” By staying drug free, you can be the HERO of your own story — in control of your own life, and inspiring others to make healthy choices.
.
Did you know the first National Red Ribbon Week was in 1988? Since then, more than 80 million young people and adults have committed to a healthy, drug-free life by wearing or displaying a red ribbon.
.
And just a reminder: Every day during lunch this week, students will be treated to a variety of activities, trivia, prizes, and much more. Everyone is encouraged to participate. So please go straight to lunch, take your seat, eat up, and get ready for FUN!!
. - Thanks to everyone who wore your favorite “bling” today for our Red Ribbon Week daily theme — “We treasure a drug free life.” And here are the themes for the rest of the week….
.
Wednesday is “Team up against drugs” — so wear your favorite team jersey.
.
Thursday is “We have Wolf Pack Pride” — so wear the school colors: blue and white.
.
And Friday is “Lei off Drugs” — so wear your favorite lei or Hawaiian shirt. Thanks for supporting Red Ribbon Week, and for staying drug free!!!
