  • Have you checked the lost and found lately? It’s only mid-October, but our lost-and-found is OVERFLOWING with water bottles, lunch boxes, hats, sweatshirts, and more!  If you’ve lost anything, there’s a HUGE lost-and-found located in the cafeteria.  You should also check the lost and found in each of your teachers’ classrooms.  And for lost iPADS, check the bin in the main office.
    .
  • And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic!  It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE!
    .
First — WASH YOUR HANDS!!  Challenge yourself to wash your hands throughout the day — especially BEFORE lunch and AFTER using the restroom.
    .
Second — Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
    .
And third — if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME.  Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread.  See our school nurse with any questions.

  • October is National Bullying Prevention and Awareness Month. The purpose is to educate our community about this important issue — and to teach effective strategies in response to bullying.
    .
Today’s topic is “Bullying Prevention: It’s Not Just a MONTH.” Bullying can’t be “fixed” in a month.  We need to focus on this every DAY, every WEEK, every MONTH, all year long. Our community must stand together and CONFRONT bullying wherever — and WHEN ever — it occurs.
    .
If you, or someone you know, is struggling with bullying, please be an UPSTANDER — not a BYSTANDER.  Tell your teacher, a counselor, an administrator, or another trusted adult.  Together, we can stand up to bullies!
