  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Brush your hair, wash your face, and smile for the camera!  SCHOOL PICTURE DAY is this week—  TODAY and TOMORRW during PE class.  Picture packages can be ordered ONLINE by going to the WMS website. See Dr. Koval with any questions. And say cheese!!
    .
  • Calling all 7th graders!  The school clinic will be conducting Hearing and Vision Screenings for the entire 7th grade grade over the next few weeks. So if you wear glasses, please remember to bring them to school.  See Nurse Wong with any questions.
    .
  • The WMS Best Buddies Club will be hosting its first meeting this FRIDAY in the cafeteria during TA. This inspirational club promotes inclusion and connection between students with and without disabilities.  To participate, please write your name, grade, and TA teacher on a piece of paper and place it in the box now located in the cafeteria. Thanks, Buddy!
    .
  • Let’s PLAY!! If you’re looking for something fun and athletic to do after school, the PE department is hosting the first OPEN GYM session on Friday afternoon during ASP 1.  But please be aware that there is NO LATE BUS on Friday, so you need to arrange your own transportation home.  See Mr. Schutz with any questions about Open Gym on Friday.
    .
  • Listen up, Wolves!  If you’ve got any old crayons lying around at home — put them in a box, and bring them to school!  WMS is working with the Crayon Initiative — an organization that recycles and melts down used crayons, then makes NEW crayons for kids in the hospital. So your donation will not only be supporting the environment, but a child in need as well.  Just drop them off in room 106.  See Mr. Thompson with any questions.
    .
  • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I Belong!” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. The deadline to submit is Friday, November 21st. For more information, go to the Williamsburg website or email [email protected]. Unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest today!!

  • Have you lost anything lately? DOZENS of jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and so much more have been piling up in the cafeteria. You should also check the lost-and-found in each of your teachers’ classrooms.  And for lost iPADS, check the bin in the main office.  Be sure to take a look — you may just find some long lost treasures!
    .
  • October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  To show our support, we’re raising money with a “Pie the Teacher” contest!  And YOU get to choose who it’s gonna be!  Three brave teachers from each grade have volunteered.  And whichever teacher raises the most money during lunch this month will get pied on October 30th.  So let’s come together as a community, have some fun, and support Breast Cancer Awareness.  Thanks for your help, wolves!!
    .
  • October is National Bullying Prevention Month. And today’s topic is: Together we’re STRONG.  Here at WMS, everyone belongs! When we include others, celebrate differences, and treat people with respect, we create a school where everyone feels safe and valued. And bullies won’t stand a chance.
    .
So if you, or someone you know, is struggling with bullying, please be an UPSTANDER — not a BYSTANDER.  Together, we can stand up to bullies!
