  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  In recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month, today is UNITY DAY here at WMS.  Big shout out to all of our students and staff who dressed in ORANGE to show their support.  Thanks for standing up against bullying — and for putting the W-in-Everything, Williamsburg!!  [clap]
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS girls soccer team.  They continued their march towards an undefeated season and county championship yesterday with a 5 to zero win over Kenmore.
    .
Big props to 8th grader Leah R with 2 goals, 7th grader Hannah R with 2 goals, and 7th grader Casey W with a goal. Five different players got an assist, and the defense notched ANOTHER amazing shutout.  Way to go, soccer Wolves!!
    .
  • Once again, October is National Bullying Prevention and Awareness Month. The purpose is to educate our community about this important issue — and to teach effective strategies in response to bullying.
    .
Today’s bullying prevention topic is “Choose Respect!” The 3 R’s that we talk about every day here at Williamsburg apply to bullying, too:  Respect YOURSELF, Respect OTHERS, and respect our shared ENVIRONMENT. Imagine a world where everyone respected one another, where kindness thrived, and where HATE was unacceptable.  It’s not just a dream; we have the power to make it a REALITY!
    .
If you, or someone you know, is struggling with bullying, please be an UPSTANDER — not a BYSTANDER.  Tell your teacher, a counselor, an administrator, or another trusted adult.  Together, we can stand up to bullies!
