- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Attention all TAs! It’s time to chose your Wolf Time classes for the rest of the year! Wolf Time selection forms MUST be submitted by 1:30pm this afternoon. Otherwise, you get what you get — and you don’t get upset. See your TA teacher with any questions about selecting your Wolf Time classes.
. - Calling all Anime-niacs! The Anime Club is meeting TODAY in room 109 during ASP 1. Participants are reminded to bring your original Anime Club t-shirt design. The winner will receive a prize, and their design will be printed for the entire club. Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions. It’s going to be Anime-zing!!
. - Who’s hungry??? Today, October 15th, the WMS PTA is teaming up with Sloppy Mama’s for a Spirit Night Fundraiser. Either order in person or use the promo code “Williamsburg PTA” when ordering online — and 15-percent of the cost will be donated to support our school! So get some delicious barbecue, and give to a good cause. Bon appetit!
. - Brush your hair, wash your face, and smile for the camera! SCHOOL PICTURE DAY is this week— THURSDAY and FRIDAY during PE class. Picture packages can be ordered ONLINE by going to the WMS website. See Dr. Koval with any questions. And say cheese!!
. - The WMS Best Buddies Club will be hosting its first meeting this FRIDAY in the cafeteria during TA. This inspirational club promotes inclusion and connection between students with and without disabilities. To participate, please write your name, grade, and TA teacher on a piece of paper and place it in the box now located in the cafeteria. Thanks, Buddy!
. - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To show our support, we’re raising money with a “Pie the Teacher” contest! And YOU get to choose who it’s gonna be! Three brave teachers from each grade have volunteered. And whichever teacher raises the most money during lunch this month will get pied on October 30th. So let’s come together as a community, have some fun, and support Breast Cancer Awareness. Thanks for your help, wolves!!
. - October is National Bullying Prevention Month. And today’s topic is: Little things make a big difference. There’s no easy way to stop bullying. But over time, every positive action we take adds up. Little things really can make a big difference — and bullies won’t stand a chance.
.
So if you, or someone you know, is struggling with bullying, please be an UPSTANDER — not a BYSTANDER. Just do the little things. And together, we can stand up to bullies!
. - Today is the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month. And today, we’ve got a special treat for students and staff — it’s the annual Hispanic Heritage Tasting Event during all grade-level lunches, featuring empanadas and horchatas! So be sure to go to the cafeteria for lunch today and get yourself a treat.
. - And before we go, we just want to remind everyone that Hispanic Heritage Month is important ALL YEAR LONG. It reflects the story of America, and helps to bring us all together.
.
Stay tuned for the following video made by some of your classmates — and see what Hispanic Heritage Month means to them. Roll tape!!
