Stroke, Stroke, Stroke!! Yorktown Crew is looking for a few good 8th graders to join the team. Interested rowers are invited to meet with the coach TODAY in the cafeteria during lunch. See Ms. Hogwood for more information.

The WMS Helping Hands club will be holding its first meeting TODAY in the library Wolf Den during ASP 1. Helping Hands focuses on community service, helping our neighbors in need, and supporting local non-profits. All students in all grades are welcome to join! See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

Calling all anime-lovers! Williamsburg is launching a brand new club this year — the Anime Club — for anyone who enjoys drawing, watching, playing, and talking about ANIME! Meetings will be held every Wednesday starting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 109. All are welcome!! See Ms. Hogwood for more information.

The WMS Girls Soccer team will be holding an informational meeting TODAY in the gym right after school. Participants will meet the coach, hear about the program, and learn how to tryout for the team. See Mr. Treble with any questions.

Calling all athletes!! If you want to participate in Boys Basketball or Girls Soccer this year, you MUST have a physical on file by this Thursday, October 12th. You ONLY need to submit ONE physical for the entire year — so if you’ve already submitted one, you’re good! And don’t forget to scan the QR code outside of Ms. Hogwood’s office to register!

Congratulations to everyone selected for the 2023-2024 Wolfbots Robotics Team!! The first team meeting is scheduled for this THURSDAY after school in room 129. Attendance is MANDATORY! See Coach Dude with any questions.

Do you like pi? Well so do we! Come to room 205 on Thursdays during ASP1 for the Math Counts Club. There will be math games, math jokes, and of course, all the mathematical Pi you can eat. See Ms. Miller with any questions.

Brush your hair, wash your face, and smile for the camera! SCHOOL PICTURE DAY is scheduled for this THURSDAY and FRIDAY during PE class. Picture packages can be ordered ONLINE by going to the WMS website. See Ms. Johnson with any questions. And say cheese!!

If you have any good pictures of yourself and your friends from when you were little — like elementary school or younger — please email them to Ms. Briones at elizabeth.briones@apsva.us or bring them to room 136 so she can scan them. Your pics could be featured in the Now & Then section of the Yearbook!! Thanks for your help, wolves!!

Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I am hopeful because…” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. Next WEDNESDAY, we’re asking everyone to wear the color ORANGE for National Unity Day. In this way, we can show our support for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
