  • Today is an EARLY RELEASE day, so the schedule is a little different than usual.  We will be following a modified C-Day schedule. That means TA ends at 7:55, and then you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7.  Be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class.  Again, this is a modified C-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • I hope you’ve been good in class lately. Because Parent-Teacher Conferences continue TODAY from 12:30 to 3:30pm.  Conferences will be conducted “Arena Style” — so tell your families that no appointment is necessary. Just come on in and have a chat!  Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!
    .
  • Are you interested in coding, circuit design, or robotics? Then we’ve got the club for you!  The WMS Robotics Club is gearing up for the new year.  To participate, just scan the QR code outside of the cafeteria and submit your availability form. It’s gonna be fun, low-pressure, and high-tech. Meetings begin next week. See Mr. Hunter with any questions.
    .
  • Calling all basket-ballers!! Tryouts for the WMS Boys Basketball team begin next TUESDAY.  Interested players should sign-up using the QR codes outside of the Activities Office. And don’t forget that you need a current physical on file in order to participate.  See Coach Clark for more information about boys basketball, or Ms. Hogwood with any questions about physicals.
    .
  • Listen up, Wolves!  If you’ve got any old crayons lying around at home — put them in a box, and bring them to school!  WMS is working with the Crayon Initiative — an organization that recycles and melts down used crayons, then makes NEW crayons for kids in the hospital. So your donation will not only be supporting the environment, but a child in need as well.  Just drop them off in room 106.  See Mr. Thompson with any questions.
    .
  • Calling all Anime-niacs!  This is a reminder to work on your original Anime Club t-shirt design over the long weekend.  The winner will receive a prize, and their design will be printed for the entire club.  Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions.
    .
  • Put your creative genius to the test! The annual PTA Reflections Contest is now accepting submissions from all grade-level students. This year’s theme is: “I Belong!” Projects can include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts.  The deadline to submit is Friday, November 21st. For more information, go to the Williamsburg website or email [email protected]. Unleash your inner artist and submit to the PTA Reflections Contest today!!

  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to the WMS Boys Ultimate team — who started off their season on Wednesday with THREE matches against Kenmore.  And they did GREAT!!
    .
The 8th grade team was down 4 to nothing early, but came storming back and won the game:  10 to 9.  The 6th grade team were MONSTERS on offense and defense, scoring at will and only allowing three goals in their win.  And the 7th grade team gave it all they had, but the much taller Kenmore players delivered our only loss.
    .
But 2 out of 3 ain’t bad! And all together, WMS outscored their opponent 27 to 20.  Way to go, Ultimate wolves!! [clap]
