Takedown — reversal — PIN!! The WMS Co-ed Wrestling team is looking for more WRESTLERS!! No tryouts are necessary, and ALL are welcome to participate — whether you’ve been grappling for years, or want to try it for the first time. Wresting is a GREAT workout, has GREAT competition, and leads to GREAT friendships. Interested athletes should meet in the Auxiliary Gym TODAY at 2:45 for practice. And now for a special message from the 8th grade Family and Consumer Science class. This is Allie, just one of the many sweet puppies and dogs at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. You can help Allie and her canine friends by donating old T-shirts which will be recycled into dog toys. Just bring your donation to room 128 — and Ms. McFerran will give you a Wolf Paw for your support. Thanks for your help, Wolves!!

Attention all students! Next month —February — is Black History Month. To celebrate the occasion, WMS is planning a number of activities and events but we need your help! If you would like to participate, please come to the interest meeting this WEDNESDAY in room 124 during TA. We can’t do it without YOU! Calling all actors, singers, dancers, backstage, and technical crew! Auditions for the WMS Spring musical — Legally Blonde, Junior — are scheduled for January 16th. Interested students — for both on stage and back stage — should sign-up on the call board outside of room 228. But remember that the play is an after-school CLASS so it is a serious commitment. Additional information can be found by scanning the QR code by room 228, or just ask Ms. Mac. Break a leg!!

Get a HOT chocolate on a COLD winter day! The WMS Best Buddies Club will be selling hot chocolate this FRIDAY before school outside of the cafeteria. It’s just 1-dollar per cup, and all money raised will go to support our fantastic Best Buddies program. See Ms. Taylor with any questions. Thanks, buddy!!

And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic! It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE! First — WASH YOUR HANDS!! Second — Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. And third — if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME. Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread. See our school nurse with any questions.
