- Due to the late start, today we will be following a modified B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — but classes are a little shorter than usual. Again, this is a modified B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Attention Anime Club!! There will be an Anime Club meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 109. Participants will vote on which Anime character they want to learn to draw — when our special guest artist from the New York School of Arts visits next month. The winning character will receive a prize! Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions.
. - Bonjour, French Club!! There will be an important meeting this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 220. Participants will select the French Club meeting dates and activities for the second semester. New members are always welcome! See Ms. McNeese with questions.
. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang! It’s time to update your iPad! APS has just approved the newest iPad operating system — iOS 18. If you haven’t already done so, all students are asked to install the new version as soon as possible. Just go to“Settings”, select “Software Update”, tap “Download” and then “Install.” Please tell your TA teacher if the update is not working. Once again, everyone should update to iOS 18.
. - And one more technology tip — WMS is missing several of its “loaner” laptops — and we need them back!! Please check your lockers and backpacks, and if you find one — TURN IT IN!! Thanks for your help, wolves!!
. Calling all students and staff — the WMS Yearbook needs your help!! If you’ve taken any good pictures this year, please consider sharing them with the Yearbook! For example, kids playing in the snow, spirit days, intramurals, or even just hanging out with friends. Or maybe teachers have pictures of special projects or amazing activities in your classroom!
.
To submit a pic, just follow the link on the WMS website by this FRIDAY. And be sure to tag yourself and your friends! See Ms. McFerran with any questions.
.- And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Ten members of the WMS Model UN Team attended the Model UN Conference at Dorothy Hamm Middle School last Saturday — and they did great!
.
Delegates represented several countries, including the United States, Australia, and China; two members served in the U.S. House of Representatives; and one even played Shrek in a Crisis Committee. Way to go, Munner Wolves! [clap]
. - Wolf Pack Pride continues with the 1st annual WMS Spelling Bee! 25 student-spellers competed in the event last week, and they all did an amazing job!
.
And here are our winners: in third place — 6th grader Molly S! In second place — 7th grader Emily D! And in first place — the Grand Champion of Spelling was 6th grader Leo R! Congratulations, and way to go, spelling wolves!! [clap]
