Attention all students participating in the AMC 8 math competition!! In light of tomorrow’s weather forecast, the competition has been rescheduled for TODAY! So, all students participating in the AMC 8 Math Competition should report to the cafeteria immediately following the Morning Announcements. Be sure to bring a pencil and your school iPad. Again, everyone in the AMC 8 Math Competition should report to the cafeteria after the announcements!

Calling all actors, singers, dancers, backstage, and technical crew! Auditions for the WMS Spring musical — Legally Blonde, Junior — have been RESCHEDULED for TODAY! Interested students — for both on stage and back stage — should sign-up on the call board outside of room 228. And if you’re applying for tech crew, please submit your application by the end-of-the-day — either in person or email. See Ms. Mac with any other questions. Once again, auditions are TODAY. Break a leg!!

Calling all MUNNERS!! Since your regularly scheduled meeting was cancelled, the Model UN Club will now be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room C105. Conference attendees will work on their position papers, while the other club members review the latest news from the United Nations. Once again, the next Model UN meeting is Thursday. See Mr. McDermott with any questions.

Get a HOT chocolate on a COLD winter day! The WMS Best Buddies Club will be selling hot chocolate this FRIDAY before school outside of the cafeteria. It’s just 1-dollar per cup, and all money raised will go to support our fantastic Best Buddies program. See Ms. Taylor with any questions. Thanks, buddy!

And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic! It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE! First — WASH YOUR HANDS!! Second — Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. And third — if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME. Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread. See our school nurse with any questions.

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! All FIVE of our Wolfbots Robotics teams competed at The Potomac School last weekend — and they did an AMAZING job!! The 8th grade team — consisting of Jackson S, Thurston R, Sid G, and John M — got the highest ranking from our school. And EVERYONE learned new skills and strategies that will help in their next competition in February. Way to go, WOLFBOTS!!
