Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

We’re only about half-way through the school year — but it’s already time to start thinking about next year’s classes! Here’s the plan: our school counselors will host an academic planning assembly TODAY in the auditorium — 7th graders during 3rd period, and 6th graders during 7th period. Meanwhile, counselors from Yorktown High School will be leading an assembly for 8th graders TOMORROW during 5th period. Students should go to their classrooms first, then come to the auditorium with your teachers.

Calling all athletes! The Winter Sports season is underway! Tryouts for Boys Basketball are THIS WEEK in the main gym after school. Contact Mr. Clark or Mr. Nelson for more information about basketball. And practice for Co-Ed Wrestling also begins THIS WEEK after school in the Auxiliary Gym. Please note that there are NO TRYOUTS for wrestling, and EVERYONE is welcome to participate. Contact Coach Gavin for more information about wrestling.

And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang! Your school-issued iPad is critical to your instruction here at WMS. Please remember that you are expected to bring it to school EVERY DAY and FULLY CHARGED. And if there’s anything wrong with it, please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!

And if your iPad is ever out of commission, WMS has a limited number of laptops that students may use instead. However, several of these computers have gone missing lately, and we need them back! So when you go to your locker today, please look to see if there’s a WMS laptop in there. And if there is, TURN IT IN!! Thanks for your help, wolves!!

Attention all students! We need to to talk about your grade-level hallways. Administrators are finding worksheets, folders, binders, iPads, and even entire backpacks left behind on the floor. Please remember that all personal items should be secured in your locker throughout the day. And if you see something on the ground, please PICK IT UP! Let’s remember to respect our shared environment. Thanks for your help, wolves!!
