- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - It’s time for Wolf Time! Beginning TODAY, all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will begin their new Wolf Time classes. Your TA teachers will tell you what they are and where to go. See you class counselor or grade-level administrator with any other questions.
. - Calling all athletes! The Winter Sports season is about to begin! Due to the winter weather, tryouts for Boys Basketball will now begin NEXT WEEK in the main gym after school. Contact Mr. Clark or Mr. Nelson for more information about basketball. And practice for Co-Ed Wrestling will also begin NEXT WEEK after school in the Auxiliary Gym. Please note that there are NO TRYOUTS for wrestling, and EVERYONE is welcome to participate. Contact Coach Gavin for more information about wrestling.
. - Up next, we need to talk about CELL PHONES!! Starting this week, the new APS Cell Phone policy is in effect. The policy requires all student phones and personal devices to be turned off and put away for the entire school day at all grade levels. See your grade-level administrator with any questions. And PUT AWAY YOUR PHONES!!!
. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang! It’s probably been a few weeks since many of you have used your school-issued iPads. If you’re experiencing any problems — including password, keyboard, cracked screen, broken apps, WiFi, or anything else — please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!
. - And finally — PLAY BALL!!!! For over a hundred years, baseball has been called “America’s pastime.”
.
But in the modern world, OTHER sports are leaving baseball in the dust. Student-reporters Alexandra and Evan have the story.
