- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Attention all TAs! Due to the high number of absences during TA pictures last month, the Yearbook staff needs to do a LOT of retakes. Here’s the rundown: TODAY they’ll be taking pictures of virtually every 7th grade classroom; and any remaining pictures for grades 6, 7, or 8 will be scheduled individually. Thanks for your cooperation! See Mr. Schonfeld with any questions.
. - And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Walten in the office with any questions.
. - And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! Students will taking their Growth Assessment surveys in Reading and Math next week — so your iPad needs to be working! If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, or ANYTHING else — please submit the online “Student Tech Help Request” form through the WMS website. Ms. Solomon’s got the solution to getting you back online!
. - The end of the 2nd quarter is just 2 weeks away. And you know what that means — it’s almost time for the Wolf Paw Drawing!! Students are reminded to put your Wolf Paws in your grade-level box located outside of the cafeteria by Wednesday, January 25th. And if you’d like a sneak-peak at the prizes, go check-out the display case by the library. There’s some great stuff in there — so stop dawdling and turn in your Paws!
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to 7th grader Leah K. and 8th grader Isaac W. for being selected to this year’s District Twelve Band! HUNDREDS of students auditioned for this exclusive opportunity — and Leah and Isaac proved themselves to be the best-of-the-best.
.
They’ll be performing this February with a world-renowned conductor and many of the most talented musicians in Northern Virginia. Way to go, musical Wolves!! [clap]
