- Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th graders!! All students must bring their iPads to PE from now until next Tuesday. You’ll be recording fitness scores and setting goals for the following quarter. When fitness testing is complete, you can lock you iPad in your PE locker. But DON’T FORGET them after class! Once again, everyone should bring your iPad to PE.
. - The Gender-Sexuality Alliance — aka the GSA — will be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 106. All are welcome!! See Ms. Wielechowski for more information.
. - The Technology Student Association — aka the TSA — will NOT be meeting this Tuesday. Once again, there is no TSA this week. See Mr. Dudek with any questions.
. - And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Carey in the office with any questions.
. - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream — it was a dream about FREEDOM. Students in all grade levels are invited to compete in the “2023 MLK Literary and Visual Arts Contest.” Just go to the WMS website for instructions and for more information about this year’s theme. The deadline for submissions is this FRIDAY, November 18th.
. - And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Today is World Diabetes Day. Thanks to all of the students and staff who wore BLUE today in support of diabetes awareness. Your support means so much to everyone living with this condition. Way to go, wolves!! [clap]
. - Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS girls Basketball team and their big win over Kenmore last week: 41 to 10! Special props to 6th graders Lily P., Maggie K., Nora L., and Carolyn M. — who all debuted in the starting line-up. And great job to the entire team. Way to go, basketball wolves!! [clap]
. - Wolf Pack Pride wraps up with the Model UN Team. They visited George Washington University on Saturday with 12 delegates serving on six committees — ranging from the World Food Program to The Clone Wars.
.
This was the very first conference for most of our delegates, and WMS can be proud of how they represented our school. Special props to 8th grader Maya U-T for earning an honorable mention award for representing Madagascar on the Suez Canal Authority. And congrats to the entire team for a great conference. Way to go, MUNNER wolves!! [clap]
