- It’s time for more testing! Today, all 7th graders will be taking the Civics and Economics SOL — while all 6th and 8th graders attend “team time.” The test will run from 8 to 10:30am.

And here’s some more information about the test: 7th graders have been assigned to several testing locations throughout the school. Just check with your TA teacher if you’re if you’re unsure where to go.

The ONLY materials you may have with you are your iPad, a bottle of water, and a book. NO OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES are allowed — no phones, smart watches, e-readers, nor anything else.

As for our 6th and 8th graders, you’ll be spending the morning in your “team time” location. And when you’re walking through the halls, we ask that you please be quiet and considerate of our test-takers. Thanks for your help, wolves — and good luck on the test, 7th graders!!
. - To accommodate the testing period, we will be following a MODIFIED A-Day schedule. Once it’s over, students will proceed to periods 1, 3, 5, and 7. See your TA teacher for more information about the modified A-Day schedule.

Also, please be aware that starting today — EVERYONE should go to their TA classroom for Wolf Time. There is a special Canvas course that you’ll be completing over the next 2-weeks. Once again, remember to go to your TA for Wolf Time.
. - The WMS Helping Hands Club needs your help! Students and staff are asked to contribute to Comfort Cases — a charitable organization committed to helping foster children in times of need. To participate, please donate teen pajamas, board books, or anything else you can spare. Collection bins are located in the Main Lobby, and donations will be accepted until this Wednesday. Thanks for your help, wolves!!
. - And finally, the Yorktown Color Guard would like to invite rising 8th and 9th graders to their Open House Practices — scheduled for this TUESDAY and THURSDAY from 6 to 8pm at the YHS Main Entrance. The Color Guard combines music, dance, flag and sabre spinning in a fast-paced and spirited performance.
