. - Calling all MUNNERS!! The Model UN club will be meeting this afternoon during ASP I in room C105. Participants are preparing position papers for the upcoming conference, and talking about current events that the UN is currently debating. See Mr. McDermott with any questions.
. - And now for an important announcement from the P.E. Department — all students who have Young, Szwed, Keimig, or Witte for PE are reminded to bring ear buds and your iPad to class. Once again: students who have Young, Szwed, Keimig, or Witte need ear buds and your iPad for class.

The 6th annual WMS March Madness Tournament of Books — Graphic Novel Edition — is about to begin!! TA teachers will be sharing the Sweet-16 entries with you this week — and then all TAs are encouraged to complete their own class “bracket.” Voting will start next week on March 7th — and will continue each week until we have our winner. .- And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Solomon! The 8th grade SOLs are just around the corner — and your iPad NEEDS to be working. If you are having any problems with your school-issued iPad — whether it’s password problems, not connecting to the internet, glitching apps, cracked screens, battery life, or ANYTHING else — please submit the online “Student Tech. Help Request” form through the WMS website. Ms. Solomon’s got the solution! So submit today — and get yourself back online.
. - Calling all 8th grade student-athletes! WOLF-TV is doing a story about middle-schoolers who participate in Yorktown High School sports. So if you played anything at Yorktown this Fall, Winter, or Spring, we want to talk to you!

- Calling all students and staff! There are just TWO more days to vote for the Yearbook’s 2022 SUPERLATIVES!! Who’s got the best smile, the best hair, who’s most likely to be President, and who’s got the best sense of humor?
. - To cast your vote, just go to the WMS website, look under “Quick Links” and click on the Morning Announcements Blog, then select your grade-level superlatives quiz. Voting ends this WEDNESDAY — and the results will be published in the 2022 Yearbook. So log on NOW — and vote for your class superlatives TODAY!!
- It’s nearly time for Parent-Teacher Conferences!! This THURSDAY from 4:30 to 7:30pm, and FRIDAY from 8 to 11:30am, parents and guardians are invited to meet VIRTUALLY with all of your teachers on MS Teams.
