  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. We also have WOLF TIME today — which will take place in your TA classroom. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • An important announcement from the PE department — all students should bring their iPads to gym this week.  Once again:  6th, 7th, and 8th graders — remember to bring your iPads to PE.
    .
  • And now for a “Technology Tip” from Ms. Solomon. Please put a passcode on your iPad. This basic security measure ensures that all of your personal information remains safe and secure.  Also, be sure to WRITE DOWN your passcode on a piece of paper and leave it at home.  And if you forget your passcode while at school — just submit a Student Tech Help Request Form and Ms. Solomon can unlock it remotely.

  • The fall sports season is here!  First up — Girls Ultimate will be holding its first practice TODAY after school.  To participate, please add your name to the sign-up sheet posted outside the cafeteria, or just stop by the gym and tell Mr. Smolinski you’d like to play.  All are welcome and no experience is necessary — you’ll learn everything you need to know on the field.  So sign-up for Girls Ultimate, TODAY!!
    .
  • Boys’ Soccer tryouts are also scheduled to “kick-off” this afternoon at 2:30.  Interested athletes are invited to show off your skills on the soccer field. Please bring your soccer gear, a water bottle and a mask!  Good luck, ballers!
    .
  • Serve, volley, overhead SLAM!  The WMS Tennis is looking for new players — and EVERYONE is welcome to try out.  Players should meet TODAY and TOMORROW after school by the cafeteria — then everyone will walk over to the Yorktown tennis courts.  Don’t forget your racket!!.
  • 2-4-6-8 — Williamsburg is really GREAT!! The WMS Cheerleading squad will be holding tryout for girls AND boys later this month.  Keep a close watch for more details.
    .
  • And a reminder for all athletes — and all sports. You MUST have a current physical on file to participate in after-school athletics. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. For more information about getting a physical, contact Ms. Hogwood, our Activities Coordinator.
    .
  • Could your parents survive a day in Middle School? We’ll soon find out! “Bring Your Parents to School Night” is scheduled for TOMORROW from 6 to 8 pm.  This online event will allow your parents to virtually “walk in your shoes” — as they follow your daily schedule, meet your teachers, and tour the school — all on MS Teams.  Each course will have a link to the presentation posted in Canvas — so your parents will be able to access them using your school iPad.  Contact your classroom teachers with any questions about Bring Your Parents to School Night.
