- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - And speaking of the daily schedule, this is a reminder that with the day-off tomorrow, we will be SKIPPING the next A-Day — so when you return to school next Monday, we’ll also be following the B-DAY schedule. Again, be prepared for a B-DAY when you come to school on Monday.

. - It’s the cold and flu season — and you may have noticed that a number of your classmates have been falling ill lately. But there’s something super easy and super important that you can do to protect yourself from those nasty germs: WASH YOUR HANDS!! Challenge yourself to wash your hands throughout the day — especially before lunch and after using the restroom. Health officials say that lathering your hands with soap for 20 to 30 seconds can kill the majority of germs that make people sick. So let’s keep it clean, wolves, and wash your hands!!
. - And finally today — the 2020 Presidential Election is just 9 months away. But who’s gonna run against President Trump? Student-Reporter Sam W. joins us on set for our WOLF-TV Election Update. Take it away, Sam!
. - SAM: Welcome to your WOLF-TV 2020 Election Update. I’m student-reporter Sam.
.
The run-up to the 2020 election continues — with a bunch of BIG primaries over the past week. First was South Carolina on Saturday — and then this week was SUPER TUESDAY when 14 states and a U.S. territory cast their votes.
.
Starting in South Carolina — Former VP Joe Biden won by a landslide with 48-percent of the vote, while Senator Bernie Sanders was a distant second with 19. No other candidate got more than 15-percent — which prompted several presidential hopefuls to end their bids. Both Pete Buttigeig and Amy Klobuchar dropped out of the race, and immediately endorsed Biden for the nomination.
.
Then came the big one — SUPER TUESDAY. Biden had all the momentum — and continued to rack up the wins — taking 10 of the 14 states and the delegate lead! Among them was Virginia — which Biden won in a landslide.
.
As of this morning, Joe Biden leads in delegates with [DELEGATE COUNT] and Bernie Sanders is in second with [NUMBER] — and those two candidates appear to be pulling away from the pack.
.
Which brings us to former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg — who spent nearly half-a-BILLION dollars on campaign ads in his bid for the presidency. But the only thing he won was American Samoa. That’s it. Eight delegates for half a billion dollars. And after that massive loss on Super Tuesday, Bloomberg has now also dropped out of the race — and has endorsed Biden for president.
.
I’ll be back throughout the year with continuing coverage of the 2020 Election. Rock the vote, Williamsburg!
