  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • TA Pictures -- Makeups & RetakesSmile for the camera! The 2020 Yearbook will be finishing up all TA class pictures today and tomorrow.  The following is a list of all the TAs that needed a make-up or retake:  in the 6th grade — Ms. Flynn and Mr. Baker; in the 7th grade — Ms. Post, Ms. Bossett, and Ms. Parris; and in the 8th grade — Ms. Thomas, Ms. Murphy, Mr. Luengo, and Ms. Canonica.
    .
The photographers will be arranging you into 2-lines for the picture… OR, if you’re feeling more imaginative — you’re encouraged to creatively stage and arrange yourself for the picture. Just make sure we can see everyone’s faces — including your TA teacher! See Mr. Schonfeld with any questions about TA pictures.
    .
  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! If YOU’D like a career in STEM, enjoy building things, and like working with POWER TOOLS — then Mr. Dudek’s ACT 2 “Inventions” class is for you! This “hands-on” class is being offered for the 2nd semester — from February to June — and meets after school 2-days a week. The sign-up sheet is posted on the Activities Board by the cafeteria. See Mr. Dudek in room 129 for more information.
    .
  • Attention all musical theatre wolves!  Auditions for this year’s Spring musical — Mary Poppins, Jr. — are scheduled for next MONDAY and TUESDAY during ASP 1 and 2 in the auditorium.  Performers should be prepared to sing a song — even “Happy Birthday” would be just fine — and recite a nursery rhyme as part of your audition.   And even if you don’t want to perform ON stage — the production needs plenty of “backstage” help, too!  Stage crew sign-ups will also take place next week after school.  See Mr. Brown with any questions — and break a leg!!
    .
  • The WMS Check-In program will be hosting a fundraiser after school this week to help the victims of the Australian wildfires.  This Thursday they’ll be selling PIZZA outside of the cafeteria and in the main lobby!  All proceeds will go to the World Wildlife Foundation. So bring your money and your appetite — and support the Australian recovery!
    .
  • 2Q Wolf Pack Lunch -- 2020And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  There’s an “end-of-the-quarter” tradition to celebrate this week: the Wolf Pack Lunch! It’s a free pizza party to recognize those students who embody all the best that Williamsburg has to offer. It’s also a chance for students to talk one-on-one with our administrators, and to share their thoughts and concerns about the school.

Your teachers have selected honorees from every grade and every team.  Those deserving students are all listed on the screen now — and should also have received an invitation from their school counselor. If you see your name, be sure to come to the Library Conference room on THURSDAY during your grade-level lunch — for all the pizza you can eat! Please DO NOT go to the cafeteria first; but come directly to the library. We can’t have the party without you! See Ms. Mays or your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with WMS sports!  The boys basketball team was back in action yesterday — winning a nail-biter on the road against Dorothy Hamm Middle School — 32 to 30.  The wolves were led by 8th graders Garrett W. with 8 points and Van T. with 6 — who also scored the game winning basket with just 5-seconds left in the game! The whole team played stellar defense in the victory — and the Wolves remain undefeated on the year.  Way to go, baller wolves!! [clap]

  • And finally today — Student-Reporter Eric C. is here to tell us about about a WMS Club that never shies away from a good fight.  And we don’t mean with fists and feet — but rather a battle of ideas.  Roll tape!!
