• How about this wild winter weather??? Due to the delayed opening, we will be following a modified B-Day schedule. That means TA ends at 9:58, there is no Wolf Time, you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6, and classes are shorter than usual.  See your TA teacher with any questions. Enjoy the short-day, Wolves!!

• What’s that buzz? It’s the annual “WMS Geo Bee!” TODAY at noon in the auditorium — 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will put their knowledge to the test at this highly competitive trivia competition. There can only be one champion — but who will it “bee??” Students and staff are invited to the auditorium to watch the show in-person, or just tune-in to WOLF-TV to see the LIVE broadcast starting at 12 o’clock.

  One more thing about the Geo Bee — 7th and 8th grade competitors are reminded to eat lunch with the 6th graders today at 11:08 — and then after lunch ALL grade-level participants should go straight to the auditorium to prepare for the competition.  See Ms. Winter with any questions.  Good luck, Geo wolves!!

• Calling all members of the WMS GIRLS SOCCER, CO-ED TENNIS, and BOYS ULTIMATE teams!  Due to today’s late opening, your team Yearbook pictures will now ALL be held TOMORROW — Thursday — at 8am in the main gym.  Just check-out with your TA teacher then head over immediately following the Morning Announcements.  Again, Girls Soccer, Tennis, and Boys Ultimate will now be taking their Yearbook pictures TOMORROW.  See Mr. Schonfeld with any questions.

• The ACT 2 Theatre Arts Class is proud to present “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe” — premiering THIS WEEK: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 p.m., with an additional matinee show on Saturday at 2:30 — all in the school auditorium. Tickets are just 5-dollars for adults, 3-dollars for students, and 1-dollar for seniors. Enjoy the show!

  And an important reminder for the entire cast and crew — your FINAL dress rehearsal is TODAY after school in the auditorium until 5 p.m.  Attendance is MANDATORY.  See Mr. Brown with any questions.

• One final announcement about the Theater — anyone who’d like to participate in the upcoming Spring Musical is invited to a “selection meeting” next MONDAY during ASP 1 in room 228.  Once you’ve picked a play to perform — you’ll get information about auditions and rehearsals.

• Attention athletes! If you plan to participate in a winter sport this year — be sure to submit a completed PHYSICAL to Ms. Hogwood in the Activities Office. Again, you MUST have a physical on file to play a WMS sport. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

• And finally today — thousands of students all over APS have one thing in common — they all use the CANVAS online learning platform in school!  But many wish that they could use Google Classroom instead.  We want to know — which do YOU prefer?  Right now, we’re asking all students — and teachers, too — to go to the Morning Announcements Blog on the WMS website and complete a quick 2-question survey about CANVAS.  WOLF-TV will have the results coming soon.  Thanks, wolves!
