  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • The Best Buddies Club is hosting a meeting RIGHT NOW in room 108. Participating students who haven’t gone yet should IMMEDIATELY go down to room 108 and join in the fun. You’ll also be discussing an upcoming Best Buddies field trip — so you won’t want to miss it!  Thanks, Buddy!!
    .
  • Attention Act 2 Art students! If you were absent from class yesterday, please go down to the Art classroom during TA — either TODAY or MONDAY — for your Art “assessment.”  Again, if you missed Act 2 Art on Thursday, you need to go take your assessment during TA.  See Mr. Skrzypek with any questions.

  • Believe it or not, but the 1st Quarter is rapidly coming to a close. Which means: it’s almost time for the Wolf Paw Drawing!!! That’s right — the 1st Quarter Wolf Paw Drawing is next FRIDAY during TA. But you MUST submit your Wolf Paws no later than next WEDNESDAY to be eligible. And if you’d like a sneak-peak at the prizes, go check-out the display case by the library. There’s some great stuff in there — so stop dawdling and turn in your Paws by Wednesday!

  • Halloween is over — and there’s a good chance that you’ve got a TON of leftover candy at home.  So why not donate it to a good cause?! The WMS Kindness Club is collecting UNOPENED Halloween candy for “Operation Gratitude” — a charitable organization that sends care packages to Veterans, First Responders, and Deployed Troops. To participate, just drop-off your candy in the donation bins located outside of each grade-level holding area — from today through next Tuesday.  The Halloween Candy Donation Drive — Give what you can, and help spread kindness to others!
    .
  • And speaking of “kindness” — the WMS Kindness Club will be hosting its next meeting on MONDAY during ASP 1 in room 136.  All are welcome to join — new members and old — as we help to spread KINDNESS throughout our shared WMS community.  Monday’s meeting will be spent working on the Candy Donation Drive — and planning for other events throughout the year.  See Ms. Pugliese, Ms. Briones, or Mr. G with any questions.
    .
  • Every good team needs a good manager!  If you’d like to be a team manager for the WMS girls basketball team this season, please contact Ms. Warden in room 115.  Managers will run the clock, keep score during games, and support the success of our student-athletes.  Go team!!
    .
  • And now for an important announcement for all WMS athletes who played Tennis, Boys Ultimate, or Girls Soccer this fall — all uniforms should be returned to your team’s coach — CLEAN and FOLDED — by the end of the day.  Once again, all WMS uniforms are DUE.  See your coach with any questions.
    .
  • WMS PE gear is on sale now — we’ve got hoodies — long sleeve ‘Ts’ — and of course, comfy sweatpants! But time is almost up — order forms MUST be submitted by next MONDAY at the latest.  And make sure they’re handed-in to your PE teacher — NOT to the main office or their mailbox.  Don’t get left out in the cold — order your Fall PE gear and Be a Part of the PRIDE!
    .
  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Wielechoski in the office with any questions.
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! The girls Ultimate team played a pair of great games on Wednesday.  First, they BLANKED Hamm Middle School — 19 to 0 — featuring a stifling defense that Hamm just couldn’t escape.  They also played against Kenmore Middle School and earned a tie — 9 to 9.  This game even more impressive — considering that our team was made up entirely of 6th graders, while the Kenmore players were almost all bigger and more experienced 8th graders.  Way to go, frisbee wolves!! [clap]
