- We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!! It’s PROMOTION DAY here at WMS. After three years of hard work and sacrifice, our 8th graders are preparing to move-on to high school — and the next chapter in their lives. On behalf of the entire Williamsburg community, we’d just like to say — good job and good luck, class of 2019!!

And now for some details about today’s event: Rising 9th graders should report to the CAFETERIA immediately following the Morning Announcements to prepare for the Promotion Ceremony — which is scheduled to begin at 8:30 in the WMS gym. Student families have been issues TWO tickets each for the ceremony. Any additional guests are invited to the school Auditorium to watch a televised broadcast of the event.

Classroom teachers are also encouraged to watch the ceremony. It will be live-streaming on the school’s Morning Announcement channel, WOLF-TV. Just follow the VLC link on your computer and click PLAY. Following the Promotion, there will be an informal reception in the front courtyard for our graduates and their families. Be sure to drop by — and say goodbye!

As for the rest of the school, we will be following a NORMAL class schedule today. But students are asked to please be responsible and respectful in the halls this morning during the Promotion ceremony. There will be HUNDREDS of parents, community members, and APS officials in attendance — so be sure to represent yourselves with PRIDE!
. - 6th and 7th graders will be cleaning out there lockers this morning during WOLF TIME. Everything’s gotta go — books, bags, pictures, and any other personal items must be removed. Please remember to recycle the recyclables — and consider DONATING unwanted school supplies. And finally, be sure to “check out” with your TA teacher!!
. - And now for an important message from our school librarians. All overdue library books MUST be returned AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! There are still HUNDREDS of overdue books out there — and the library needs them back. So look in your backpack, your locker, and under your bed at home — and BRING IN YOUR BOOKS!
. - Have you checked the lost and found lately? There are literally HUNDREDS of jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and so much more. Be sure to take a look — you may just find some long lost treasures! Anything not claimed by this FRIDAY will be donated… or discarded.
. - This is a reminder from the School Clinic that all student medications MUST be picked-up between now and next WEDNESDAY, June 26th. Any unclaimed prescriptions or items will be discarded. Students must have a note from home if they want to pick-up the medications themselves — otherwise, please ask your parents to stop by. See the school nurse with any questions.
