  • The SOLs are here! That’s right, today all 8th graders — Cavs, Hokies, Patriots, and Rams — will be taking their Multiple Choice Writing SOLs. Testing locations are posted by the cafeteria and the gym, and you can also check with your TA teacher.
    .
Here are a few things you need to know: all testers must bring their FULLY CHARGED iPads to the exam.  Anyone without a tablet — or sufficient battery — will be required to use a laptop.  You may also bring a book to read in case you finish early.  But you will NOT be allowed to bring your backpacks, pens nor pencils, water, snacks, nor any other electronic devices. See Ms. Cameron or your school counselor with any questions. Good luck on the SOL, 8th graders!

  • As for everyone else, there will be an extended TA this morning — and then we’ll be following the REGULAR schedule, periods 1 through 7.  However, students are reminded to please be considerate and QUIET when walking between classes today — especially by the Library and the Trailers — so as not to disrupt the test-takers.

  • Curious about the world, its places, and peoples? Then join the Geo Club — TODAY during ASP 1 in room WW 9. Come and learn about the different cultures and people that make WMS so unique. See Mr. Miller with any questions.

  • It’s time to “Tidy Up,” Williamsburg! Hop onboard the KonMari Bandwagon as the WMS Kindness Club hosts its “Clean Out Your Closet Campaign.”  Students and staff are encouraged to donate clean, gently used, and quality clothing to “The Clothesline for Arlington Kids.” Collection bins are located outside of the library, and the last day to donate is TOMORROW.  The Kindness Club fundraiser — SPARK JOY for those in need!

  • Hey, 7th grade — How would YOU like to be on the Yearbook Staff next year? Then you need to act fast! The application deadline is April 1st — and that’s NO JOKE. This select group of students meet during TA and Wolf Time all year long — taking pictures, learning graphic design, and creating a keepsake for the ages. And while it’s NOT a class for a grade, it’s still a highly rewarding club and resume booster. Just swing by room 137 for more information and to get an application from Ms. Kontos. The WMS Yearbook — Be a Part of the Pride!!
