- Come on out for a BOOK BONANZA! The WMS Academic Book Fair is OPEN FOR BUSINESS — from now this WEDNESDAY in the library. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will all have a chance to visit with their English classes — but everyone is welcome to stop by any day of the week — either before school or during your lunch period. Plus, the fair will also be open late-night next TUESDAY to coincide with the Winter Concert. So don’t forget to bring your money — and go get yourself a good book!
. - And speaking of the Book Fair — it’s time to announce the results of the Book Fair Raffle! One lucky student from each grade was randomly selected — and each winner will receive your choice of FREE BOOK! And the winners are: in 6th grade — Alessio Waugh; in 7th grade — Eleanor Meehan; and in 8th grade — Aidan McGeehan. Congratulations, book-loving wolves!! Be sure to stop by the library TODAY to claim your prize.
. - Looking to get involved and spread some kindness? The WMS Kindness Club will be meeting this TUESDAY during ASP 1 in room 201. All is welcome, whether you’re a first-timer or an old pro. There’s enough kindness for EVERYONE! Questions? See Ms. Schaefer, Ms. Zeller or Mr. Johnson.
. - Calling all actors, singers, and technicians! Auditions for the WMS Spring Musical — Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland, Jr.” — will take place in the auditorium on THURSDAY during ASP 1 and 2; and again next MONDAY, December 17th during ASP 1 only. Interested performers should prepare three things — the song “Happy Birthday”, a short nursery rhyme, and another song of YOUR CHOICE that highlights YOUR VOICE. See Mr. Brown with any questions. Break a leg!
. - It’s better to GIVE than to RECEIVE! Just FIVE DAYS remain for the Kindness Club’s “Fill the Cruiser — Holiday Toy Drive.” NEW and UNWRAPPED gifts may be dropped-off in the grade-level bins in the library. Everything that’s collected will be given to local children in need this holiday season. And remember — whichever grade donates the most will be entered into a raffle to receive a special token of gratitude. Spread kindness where you may, and donate to the Toy Drive TODAY!!
. - And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Argenal in the office with any questions.
