  • We begin today with WOLF PACK PRIDE!  It’s Halloween, and the halls here at Williamsburg are “crawling” with creatures — witches and wizards, heroes and villains, it’s a down-right MONSTER MASH!
    .
Thanks to all of our students and staff for showing such create school spirit — and incredible creativity — by dressing up for this festive day.  But here’s a few costume guidelines you need to remember before you head out to class….  Basically, costumes must conform to the WMS dress code, not offend anyone, no weapons, no masks, nothing inappropriate. — and everything else you see on your screen. And if you’re not sure — just ask a teacher or administrator. Thanks for understanding, and have a Happy Halloween!!

  • And speaking of costumes —  the WMS Fitness Team will be holding a HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST today during all grade-level PE classes. So be sure to put on your wear your scariest, most creative, unique, and SCHOOL APPROPRIATE costume — and you might win a TRICK or TREAT! “Ghoul” Luck, wolves!!
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with Boys Ultimate Frisbee — who beat Swanson by such a large margin yesterday, it was SCAAAAARY!!  There were four games in all — and the wolves showed NO MERCY — winning by scores of 14 to 1, 15 to 2, 12 to 1, and 15 to 1!!
    .
Big props to 8th graders Ryan C., Alan S., Issac F., Joe D., and Owen M. for coming up big on offense; to 7th graders Ben B., Keitrell H. and Max R. for big-time offense and defense; and to the entire 6th grade squad — which looks absolutely unstoppable.  Congrats to all on the big wins.  Way to go, frisbee wolves!! [clap]. Next on the schedule is an away game at Kenmore this Thursday.  Go get ’em, team!!
    .
  • Sister Circle will meet this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 201. All young women are welcome — new members and old, friends and allies. So come out for a little Girl Talk — and a lot of fun activities! See Ms. Cameron with any questions.
    .
  • Want to make new friends, play some smooth music, and have a swingin’ time?! Then join the WMS Jazz Band Club! Meetings — also known as “Jam Sessions” — begin November 1st, and will continue every THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 225. All instruments are welcome — including guitar and bass players. Just sign-up on the activity board by the cafeteria, or go to the Jazz Club page on the WMS website for more information and to contact the band leader, Mr. Wilkin.
    .
  • The Best Buddies Club will be meeting this FRIDAY during WOLF TIME. Members and allies are invited to come make friends — and make a difference with some amazing kids. Just stop by room 108 either TODAY or TOMORROW to get a pass, and then we’ll see you Friday. See Ms. Rogers with any questions.  Thanks, Buddy!!
    .
  • Up next, we’ve got a special opportunity for all you book-lovers out there.  Ms. Cameron and Ms. Edme are launcing an all new Williamsburg Book Club — and the first featured title will be “The Hate U Give” — winner of both the Goodreads Choice Award AND the Coretta Scott King Award.  Interested “readers” are encouraged to attend an informational session this FRIDAY during all grade-level lunches in room 110.  See Ms. Cameron or Ms. Edme with any questions.

  • And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Argenal in the office with any questions.
