- Ready, set, READ!! The “Talk about Books” Club” — a.k.a. TAB — will be meeting TODAY during all grade level lunches in the library. Participants are reminded to get there quick for today’s special activity: you’ll be voting on the TOP-10 Books of the Year! So grab your grub and come take a look at these Totally Awesome Books!!
. - In preparation for this week’s rising 6th grade orientation, there will be a MANDATORY training session for all 7th grade tour guides from the MYSTICS and WIZARDS teams — TODAY in the auditorium immediately following the Morning Announcements. Again, the Mystics and Wizards tour guides should go to the auditorium for training during Wolf Time. See Ms. Boyers or Mr. Caldwell with any questions.
. - Rehearsal for the Spring Play has been POSTPONED for today — and will be rescheduled for FRIDAY. However, there is no late bus on Friday — so be sure to arrange your own transportation home. Once again, there is NO rehearsal today. See Mr. Brown with any questions.
. - Calling all native-Spanish speakers! If you speak Spanish at home, then you could EASILY earn a special “Seal of Bi-literacy” on your high school diploma. Just sign-up for next year’s “Spanish for Fluent Speakers” class — and you’ll be on your way! Applications MUST be submitted by TOMORROW — so don’t wait. Just scan the QR code with your TA teacher, or see your grade-level counselor for more information. Buena suerte!!
. - The WMS School Store is OPEN FOR BUSINESS!! Pre-orders are now being accepted for the new grade-level “School Spirit” t-shirts. They’re 18 or 20 dollars to buy. Just fill out the form and return it to your TA teacher by this FRIDAY — or bring it to the school store on Friday during Wolf Time. So get your School Spirit ‘T’ — and Be a Part of the Pride!!
. - “Every HERO needs a squad!!” Just one week remains in the WMS Pennies for Patients fundraiser, and we’re well on our way to raising 3,600-dollars for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society — and its fight against cancer. Keep the donations coming — because whichever TA collects the most money will get a free pizza and ice cream party!!

Plus: be sure to stop by the cafeteria during all 3 lunches this week, and buy a ticket — or TEN — for the Gift Basket Raffle! These amazing baskets are filled with goodies and gift cards — just for YOU! Winners will be announced next TUESDAY, and all money raised from the raffle will be added to our Pennies for Patients total. See Ms. Kia at the Check-In Program with any questions — and support the Pennies for Patients fundraiser!
. - Finally today, Are you ready to SCARE away heart disease?? WMS is partnering with the American Heart Association for the annual Hoops for Heart fundraiser. The program encourages EVERYONE to live a heart-healthy lifestyle, and contribute to SAVING LIVES in our community!

Hoops for Heart kicks-off TOMORROW, and this year’s theme is the “Scare Squad.” Each day, a “friendly” monster will have a heart-healthy message. And by collecting the “scare squad members” — you will actually be helping the AMA in the fight against heart disease and stroke. Students are encouraged to register at www.heart.org/JUMP — and do your part to save a heart!
