- It’s Day 2 of SPIRIT WEEK! Thanks to all our students and staff who “paired-up” for Twin Day today –and I even saw a few TRIPLETS roaming the halls! Remember — all week long the Williamsburg SCA is challenging YOU to show your Wolf Pack Pride and participate in our daily “themed” contest.

Here’s the rundown for the rest of the week: tomorrow is Wacky Hair and Hat Day; Thursday is Sports Day; and Friday is Ugly Sweater Day — a holiday tradition. Let’s have some fun and show some spirit, wolves!!
- Read any good books lately? The Teen Advisory Board — a.k.a. TAB — will be meeting TODAY during all grade level lunches in the library. So grab your lunch and let’s have chat about some Totally Awesome Books!!
- The Teen Trendsetters Club will be meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room WW14. Your “mentees” are looking forward to reading with you — so DON’T BE LATE!! Please see Ms. Clayton with any questions.
- All black and Latino middle school boys are invited to join the “Boys Cohort” — TODAY during ASP 1 in room 233. Come to meet new people, and learn how to be a LEADER in your community. Allies are welcome! Please see Ms. Pointer with any questions.
- Need help with Spanish? The Yorktown Spanish Honor Society is back — offering FREE tutoring TODAY during ASP 2 in room WW5. Get extra help with grammar and vocab — and everything you need to succeed. Just sign up with your Spanish teacher to attend, or see Senora Stewart with any questions. Hasta pronto!
- There will be a mandatory SCA meeting for all officers and reps — this THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 215. Please see Mr. Peacock or Mr. Tagert with any questions.
- Latinas Leading Tomorrow is meeting THURSDAY during ASP 1 in room 214. Come for a conversation with like-minded students about empowerment and “achieving the dream!” Please see Ms. Pointer with any questions.
- Calling all future scientists! The Virginia Junior Academy of Science — VJAS — is holding an informational meeting for interested 7th and 8th graders on FRIDAY during lunch in room WW22. Please see Ms. Warden with any questions. Science rules!!
- The Model UN Pizza Fundraiser was such a hit last Friday afternoon — that they’re doing it AGAIN! For the last time in 2016 — this Friday is PIZZA FRIDAY at WMS. Go to the main lobby or the cafeteria entrance immediately following the bell, and get a slice and a cookie for just 2-dollars All proceeds will help to pay for upcoming Model UN conferences. Come hungry!
- Have you got game? The WMS girls basketball team will be holding tryouts on TUESDAY, January 3rd — that’s the first day back from Winter Break. Interested athletes should sign-up on the activity board by the cafeteria — and MUST have a current physical on file. Please see Ms. Boyers or Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
