- WMS is ramping-up for BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT – next Tuesday from 7 to 9 P.M. Parents are invited to tour the building, hear from Principal Laurie and the PTA, and even “walk in your shoes” by following your schedule and meeting all your teachers. So tell your folks to clear their calendars – and come to Back to School Night next week!
- The WMS Model UN club is back in business! Returning members are asked to please attend a brief meeting on THURSDAY, from 2:30 to 3 P.M. in room 202 — where you’ll start making plans for the upcoming season. Just remember that there are NO late buses, so make sure you’ve got a way home. See Ms. Carlson if you have questions.
- We’ve officially been back-to-school for an entire week. How’s it going so far? Do you like your teachers? Making new friends? Feeling stressed out? Students with ANY concerns about their schedule, socializing with classmates, or who just need to “talk” are encouraged to drop by the main office and take a meeting with our grade-level counselors. Ms. Flynn and Ms. Schaefer for 8th grade; Mr. Tuttle for 7th; and Ms. Boyers and Mr. Caldwell for 6th. They’re here for YOU!!
- The WMS Tennis and Soccer teams do NOT have tryouts today – but the competition is back on TOMORROW. For tennis, players are reminded to meet at the bus loop on THURSDAY right after school for the drive over to Yorktown. It will be the third and final day of tryouts – so put your game face on! Please see Mr. Seeger for more information.
- Soccer tryouts will also wrap-up on THURSDAY, on Field 2 from 2:30 to 4 P.M. It will be the 8th graders turn to show what they’ve got. Bring it!! Please see Mr. Witte with any questions. And remember — all students MUST have a completed physical on-file to participate in any WMS sport.
