Calling all filmmakers! The new WMS Filmmaking Club will have its next meeting on MONDAY during ASP 1 in room 136. You’ll learn everything about the production process — from writing the script, to filming, to editing. If you’ve got a movie idea — you can make it here!! All are welcome! I hope you’ve been on your best behavior lately, because Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for NEXT WEEK — Thursday, March 12th from 4:30 – 7:30pm, and Friday, March 13th from 8 – 11:30am. Conferences will be conducted “Arena Style” — so tell your families that no appointment is necessary. Just come on in and have a chat! Parents and teachers together — what could be better than that?!

And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic! It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE! First: WASH YOUR HANDS multiple times a day — especially before and after you eat. Second: Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. And third: if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME. Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread. See our school nurse with any questions.

Ready, set, READ!! The 10th annual March Madness Tournament of Books has officially begun!! This year’s contenders are all new books to the WMS library — so they may also be new to YOU. Just go to the Library Canvas course for a description of each book.

Here’s how to participate: Just go to the WMS Library Canvas Course and cast your vote for the Sweet-16. We’ll announce the results next week. And remember: the TA with the best overall bracket will win a prize — so make your vote count! The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!!

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Last week was Spirit Week here at WMS — and you may remember that we had a little contest going. Whichever grade showed the most school spirit was going to win bonus points for the Pep Rally this Spring.

Well, the results are in. The winner of 500 bonus points is — drum roll, please! — the 6th grade!! Congratulations, 6th graders! You’ve got spirit, yes you do! [clap]
