- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5,and 6. But there are NO WOLF TIME classes today — so all students should return to their TAs for Wolf Time. Again, this is a B-Day — and Wolf Time will be in your TA. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Attention all students and staff! Anyone who is fasting in observance of Ramadan this month is welcome to go to room 124 during your lunch period. See Ms. Wielechowski or Ms. Monroe with any questions.
. - Calling all members of the Talk About Books Club — aka TAB! If you plan on participating in the upcoming field trip, you must submit your signed permission slip by TODAY. See Ms. Tan with any questions.
. - Students CAUGHT IN THE ACT… being KIND! Last week, DOZENS of students reported teachers and classmates being kind to one another. And we want to recognize all of those do-gooders. Their names — and kindnesses — will be displayed on the video screens during each grade-level lunch. Be sure to check them out to see who in YOUR grade was being kind.
. - Let’s DANCE!! The Homecoming Glow Party for 7th and 8th graders is scheduled for Friday, February 27th, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the school gym. Come dressed to “glow” and ready to have an amazing time with friends, music, and school spirit! You don’t want to miss it. Students can purchase tickets during lunch for just 2-dollars each. Let’s light up the night, wolves!!
. - Calling all filmmakers! The new WMS Filmmaking Club will have its next meeting on MONDAY during ASP 1 in room 136. You’ll learn everything about the production process — from writing the script, to filming, to editing. If you’ve got a movie idea — you can make it here!! All are welcome! See Ms. Strebe with any questions.
. - On your marks, get set, go! The spring track and field season is right around the corner. Anyone interested in trying out is invited to an Informational Meeting on Monday, March 2nd right after school in the cafeteria. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions about track and field.
. - The Helping Hands Food Drive — which is benefiting the Arlington Food Assistance Center — has been collecting SO MUCH food that we’re EXTENDING the deadline until next Thursday, February 26th. Students are encouraged to keep donating canned goods and pantry items to the collection bins located in each grade-level hallway.
.
But wait — there’s MORE! Whichever grade donates the most food will get a POPSICLE PARTY! So you can help people AND get a sweet treat. As of now, the 6th grade is in the lead. But there’s still time for the 7th or 8th grades to catch up. Who’s going to win? Show your donation domination, Williamsburg, and give to the Helping Hands Food Drive!
.
And now it’s time time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to the WMS Art Department for racking up the glory at this year’s Scholastic Art Competition. Fourteen Williamsburg students combined to win 20 awards for their incredible art projects — including 14 Gold Keys, 3 Silver Keys, and 3 Honorable Mentions. Many of the winning projects will go on display in the coming weeks for our entire community to enjoy.
.
But that’s not all! The Gold Key projects will now be entered into a NATIONAL art competition — where they could win scholarships worth THOUSANDS of dollars. Way to go, artistic wolves!! [clap]
.- What’s that buzz? It’s the WMS Geo Bee! Our resident geographer, Mr. McDermott, is here to tell us all about it.

Roll Tape!!
