- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Today is the last day of National School Counseling Week, and we’d like to thank EVERYONE in our community for celebrating with us all week long! But while the week may be ending, our counselors’ work is never done. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your counselor if you need ANYTHING this year — because they’ll always be here for YOU.
. - Calling all filmmakers! WMS is starting a new Filmmaking Club. It will meet every MONDAY during ASP 1 in room 136. You’ll learn everything about the production process — from writing the script, to filming, to editing. Just scan the QR code on the Activities Board to sign up, or see Ms. Strebe with any questions.
. - Give a helping hand to those in need! The WMS Helping Hands Club is hosting a Food Drive for the Arlington Food Assistance Center — from Monday, February 9th to Thursday, February 19th. Students are encouraged to donate canned goods and pantry items to the collection bins located in each grade-level hallway. But wait — there’s MORE! Whichever grade donates the most food will get a POPSICLE PARTY! So you can help people AND get a sweet treat. Show your donation domination, Williamsburg!
. - Let’s DANCE!! The Homecoming Glow Party for 7th and 8th graders is scheduled for Friday, February 27th, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the school gym. Come dressed to “glow” and ready to have an amazing time with friends, music, and school spirit! You don’t want to miss it. Stay tuned for more information over the next few weeks. Let’s light up the night, wolves!!
. - And now it’s time for Black History Month TRIVIA. Listen closely, because we’ll be testing you on these at the end of the month. And whichever grade gets the most correct answers will earn bonus points for the WMS Pep Rally this Spring. Here we go!

Everybody knows that Barack Obama was our nation’s first Black president. But did you know that BEFORE Barack, the highest ranking African American in the federal Executive Branch was a man named Colin Powell. Colin Powell was an Army general, a diplomat, and a statesman. He served as US Secretary of State under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2005.
