  • Due to the late start today, we will be following a modified A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time. But TA ends at 10 a.m., and classes are a little shorter than usual.  Again, this is a modified A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • And here’s a few more scheduling notes:  The third quarter has begun!  So all 6th graders on the Exploratory Wheel will begin their next exploratory class this week. The room numbers for your new classes are posted in StudentVue.  Once again, 6th graders begin their new Wheel classes this week.

  • We’ve also begun the second semester.  So all 7th and 8th graders taking semester-long electives will also be starting their new classes this week. The room numbers for your new classes are posted in StudentVue.  Again, new semester-long classes for 7th and 8th graders begin this week.

  • Read any good books lately? The Talk about Books Club — a.k.a. TAB — will be meeting TODAY during all grade level lunches in the library. So grab your grub and come take a look at these Totally Awesome Books!! See Ms. Tan with any questions.

  • Calling all MUNNERS! The Model UN Club is meeting TODAY during ASP I in room C105. Participants will be preparing for a mini-conference with their fellow middle schools in APS. All are welcome! See Mr. McDermott with any questions.

  • Attention all members of the Student Council Association!  The SCA is meeting TODAY in room 107 during ASP 1. See Ms. Dittimus with any questions.

  • Calling all sports fans!! Today’s Girls’ Basketball game has been RESCHEDULED for WEDNESDAY at 3:30pm in the main gym.  Once again, the next girls basketball game will now be played TOMORROW.

  • And now for an important update about the 2nd Quarter Wolf Paw Drawing! Due to all the winter weather, the Wolf Paw Drawing has been RESCHEDULED for next MONDAY, February 9th.  But to be eligible for the drawing, you MUST submit your Wolf Paws by this THURSDAY.  Once again, the rescheduled Wolf Paw drawing is next MONDAY, but you must submit your Paws by this THURSDAY to participate.  Good luck, Wolves!

  • Attention Wolf Pack!! February is Black History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of African Americans. But we need your help!  If you’d like to help plan our Black History Month activities, please complete the Google Form titled “Black History Month” located in Canvas by this Friday.  See Ms. Monroe with any questions.

  • And speaking of Black History Month:  be sure to pay close attention to the Morning Announcements over the next few weeks for “Black History Month TRIVIA!”  Just submit your answer using the QR codes posted throughout the school.  And whichever grade gets the most correct answers will earn bonus points for the WMS Pep Rally this Spring.  Good luck, wolves!

  • This week is National School Counseling Week, and the theme is “School Counselors Amplify Student Success.” One of the many ways that counselors help us succeed is by providing Academic Advising about next year’s courses.  So when you’re choosing your classes for next year, be sure to work with your counselor.  They’ll help you find the best classes for YOU.
