Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

Calling all actors, singers, and dancers! TODAY is your last chance to audition for the WMS Spring Musical — Matilda! Auditions will be held after school in the Auditorium. Interested performers should prepare 30-seconds of a song, and 30-seconds of a monologue. Please register for the audition by scanning the QR code on the Theater Call Board and completing the Google Form.

The show also needs a backstage crew — for lighting, sound, sets, props, costumes, and art design. Again, just complete the QR code to sign-up — but no audition is necessary for crew. See Mr. Randle with any questions about “Matilda.” And break a leg!!

It’s almost test time!! This THURSDAY and FRIDAY, our entire school will be taking the NWEA MAP tests for Reading and Math. Most students will be testing with their math classes in an examiner’s room. But be aware that the test will begin promptly at 7:50am. So please do NOT go to your TA first. All students should go directly to their testing locations when they get to school on Thursday and Friday. See your TA teacher with any questions. And good luck on the test!

Attention all ANIME-niacs!! The first Anime Club meeting of the new year is scheduled for TODAY during ASP 1 in Room 109. Participants will be voting on a character for their upcoming digital illustration workshop — and the winner will get a prize! It’s going to be ANIME-zing!! Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions.

Checkmate! The WMS Winter Chess Club is scheduled to begin on TUESDAY, January 27th. Interested chess players may enroll by following the link on the WMS website. But please be aware that there is a CHARGE for this club, so be sure to talk to your family before signing up. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions about the chess club.

Who’s hungry?! The WMS PTA is teaming up with Dogwood Tavern in Falls Church for a restaurant spirit night fundraiser. It’s scheduled for Wednesday, January 28th. Just mention the fundraiser when ordering — dine-in or takeout only — and a portion of your purchase will be donated to our school. Thanks for your support, wolves!!

Everybody in the pool! The WMS Swim and Dive teams are getting ready for their new seasons. There are no tryouts, but interested athletes need to register by scanning the QR code on the Activities Board and completing the GoogleForm by February 13th. Also, you must have a current physical on file to participate. See Ms. Hogwood with any questions about swim or dive.
