Make sure you go to the cafeteria for lunch today, because it’s time to PIE THE TEACHER! One teacher from each grade is getting PIED in support of our Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser. You don’t want to miss it!!

I can fix it!! “The Student Helpdesk of Williamsburg” is hosting it’s first club meeting TODAY during ASP 1 in room 136. The Student Helpdesk is for students who enjoy working with tech, taking things apart, and putting them back together. All “techies” are welcome! See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

WMS is working with the Crayon Initiative — an organization that recycles old crayons, then makes NEW ones for kids in the hospital. We’ve already collected nearly 8-THOUSAND crayons, so let’s see how many more we can get by this Friday. Just drop them off in room 106. See Mr. Thompson with any questions. And thanks for supporting the Crayon Initiative!

Tomorrow is Halloween! We know a lot of you are planning to dress up. But please remember that everyone must abide by the Halloween guidelines. Costumes may not be offensive, no weapons, no masks, nothing inappropriate. — and everything else you see on your screen. And if you’re not sure — err on the side of caution and DON’T WEAR IT! Or, ask an administrator. Thanks for understanding, and have a Happy Halloween!!

And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!! Congratulations to the WMS boys basketball team — who tipped off their season with a big win against rival Swanson Middle School on Tuesday: 50 to 13.

Big props to the leading scorers — Theo, Aiden, and Davis — and to EVERYONE on the team for their dominating play on offense and defense. Way to go, baller wolves!! [clap]

The next boys basketball game is TODAY against Kenmore at 3:30pm in the main gym. Popcorn and snacks will be for sale, but it’s cash only. And everyone is reminded to please be RESPECTFUL at the game — or you will be asked to leave. Thank you for helping us keep the game safe and fun for everyone!

Wolf Pack Pride continues with the WMS Boys Ultimate team — who played a trio of games against Swanson on Monday. Our 8th graders won by 3 points after being down early; our 6th graders played their tightest game yet, and won by single point; while our 7th graders gave it their all, but came up just short.

But winning 2 our of 3 ain’t bad!! Way to go, Ultimate wolves!! [clap]

It’s Red Ribbon Week here at WMS — the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation. Thanks to everyone who wore PINK today for our theme: Pink Out Day!!

Red Ribbon Spirit Week wraps up tomorrow with our final theme: “Superhero Halloween Day” — so dress up as your favorite superhero, or any other costume you’d like. Thanks for supporting Red Ribbon Week, and for pledging to stay drug free!!
