  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • The Williamsburg Theater Department is proud to announce this year’s Fall play — it’s “The Snow Queen!” Auditions will be held TODAY and TOMORROW in the auditorium after school. You don’t need to prepare anything to audition; just sign up using the QR code posted outside of room 228.  Break a leg!!

    The show also needs a back stage crew, lighting and sound technicians, prop masters, and more!  To be a part of the crew — just sign up using the same QR code posted outside of room 228.  See Mr. Randle with any questions.

  • After school clubs and activities begin THIS WEEK!  And WMS offers DOZENS to choose from — whether you’ve been doing it your whole life, or want to try something new!  Check out the Activities Page on the WMS website for information about meeting times and locations.

  • The WMS Best Buddies Club is preparing for a new year!  This inspirational club is your chance to really make a difference in our school.   It promotes inclusion and connection between students with and without disabilities.  And you can make some GREAT new friends in the process.  Best Buddies meets every Friday during TA.  To participate, please write your name, grade, and TA teacher on a piece of paper and place it in the box outside of room 137. Thanks, Buddy!

  • Calling all mahjong lovers!  WMS is starting a new mahjong club this year — it’s a tile-based strategy game that’s TONS of fun.  Interested players are invited to meet up TODAY after school in room 203.  See Ms. Post with any questions.

  • Calling all writers!  Inked — the WMS creative writing club — starts on TUESDAY in room C101 during ASP 1.  If you like to write, Inked is the club for you!!  See Ms. Martin with any questions.

  • Calling all math lovers! Math Counts will host its first meeting NEXT MONDAY, October 6th, in room 219.  The focus will be on learning problem solving skills to prepare for the Math Counts Chapter competition in February. See Ms. Rixey with any questions.

  • Calling all basket-ballers!! Tryouts for the WMS Boys Basketball team begin on October 14th.  Interested players should sign-up using the QR codes outside of the Activities Office. And don’t forget that you need a current physical on file in order to participate.  See Coach Clark for more information about boys basketball, or Ms. Hogwood with any questions about physicals.

  • October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and WMS is proud to support the cause — but we need your help!   All next month, we’re raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness with a “Pie the Teacher” contest!
    .
    Here’s how it works, three brave teachers from each grade have volunteered to take a pie in the face for charity.  And YOU get to choose who gets the pie!  All next month during lunch, students can put money in the donation bin for the teacher of their choice.  And whichever teacher raises the most will be pied on October 30th!
    .
    The “pie in the face” teachers will be announced during lunch this week.  So let’s come together as a community, have some fun, and support Breast Cancer Awareness.  Thanks for your help, wolves!!
