  • Today, we will be administering the NWEA MAP test for Reading to the entire school.  To accommodate the test, everyone should go immediately to their testing location.  Again, you should NOT have gone to TA — everyone should be at your testing location RIGHT NOW.
    .
And here’s a little more information about the MAP test.  All you need is your iPad, but you may also have a pencil, a water bottle, and a book to read for when you’re finished.  No phones, earbuds, smart watches, nor any other electronic devices are allowed. See your teacher with any other questions.  And good luck on the test!!
    .
  • When the testing period is over, we will be following a modified A-Day schedule.  That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — but there is NO Wolf Time. Again, this is a modified A-Day, with no Wolf Time. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Every Wolf Pack needs a LEADER — and that leader could be YOU!  Williamsburg is looking for motivated 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to join the WMS Student Council Association. You can make a real difference — and have fun, too!  See Ms. Hogwood for more information about the SCA.
    .
  • Listen up, Wolves!  If you’ve got any old crayons lying around at home — put them in a box, and bring them to school!  WMS is working with the Crayon Initiative — an organization that recycles and melts down used crayons, then makes NEW crayons for kids in the hospital. So your donation will not only be supporting the environment, but a child in need as well.  Just drop them off in room 106.  See Mr. Thompson with any questions.
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  Yesterday was Back to School Night — with HUNDREDS of parents coming to WMS to meet your teachers and tour the school.  And it was a HUGE success!
    .
Special thanks to our teachers and staff for working so hard to make your families feel welcome; to our student volunteers — the ambassadors, Yearbook staff, and WOLF-TV reporters — for their important contributions; and of course, to our custodial staff for making our school shine.
    .
Way to go, Wolf Pack!! [clap]
