- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6— so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And don’t forget, all students should go back to your TA for Wolf Time. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - It’s Constitution Week here at WMS — and our resident historian, Mr. McDermott, is back with more trivia.
.
So put on your thinking caps…And ROLL TAPE!!
- Could your parents survive a day in Middle School? We’ll soon find out! WEDNESDAY is BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT at WMS, from 5:50 to 8pm. Parents will essentially be “walking in your shoes” — as they follow your daily schedule, meet your teachers, and tour the school. So go home and tell your folks: come to Back to School Night this Wednesday — and be a Part of the Wolf Pack Pride!
. - Listen up, Wolves! If you’ve got any old crayons lying around at home — put them in a box, and bring them to school! WMS is working with the Crayon Initiative — an organization that recycles and melts down used crayons, then makes NEW crayons for kids in the hospital. So your donation will not only be supporting the environment, but a child in need as well. Just drop them off in room 106. See Mr. Thompson with any questions.
. - Calling all TAs!! We’re challenge each TA to work together and create a MURAL that represents the values we hold dear at WMS. Each grade will have its own theme: 6th grade – KINDNESS; 7th grade – SPEAK UP; and 8th grade – REACH OUT. And when you’re done, all of the murals will be put on display in the hallways. You’ll be starting this project TODAY during Wolf Time, and they’re DUE on October 3rd. See Ms. Battle with any questions.
. Attention all students!! How would YOU like to be a part of the Yorktown High School Half Time Show at their next football game??? This FRIDAY is Yorktown’s Rising Patriot Band Night, and our 8th grade band will be performing on the field.
.
And YOU can perform, too! The Yorktown Color Guard is inviting all 4th through 8th grade students to join them on the field for a special performance. Just scan the QR code on your screen to sign up — or see Mr. Edwards with any questions.
.
And even if you don’t want to be in the show, everyone is invited to pack the stands at YHS this Friday night, support our 8th grade band, and root Yorktown to victory! See you there!!
.- We’ve got one last video to show show you today. And this one, is special — it’s all about the cast and crew here at WOLF-TV! You’ll be seeing us all year long — not just here on the Morning Announcements — but walking through the halls, invading classrooms, filming video, and interviewing students and staff!!
.
So without further ado, please say “Hello” to WOLF-TV, 2025-2026!!! Roll Tape!!
