- Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6— so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And don’t forget, all students should go back to your TA for Wolf Time. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Could your parents survive a day in Middle School? We’ll soon find out! Next WEDNESDAY is BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT at WMS, from 5:50 to 8pm. Parents will essentially be “walking in your shoes” — as they follow your daily schedule, meet your teachers, and tour the school. So go home and tell your folks: come to Back to School Night next Wednesday — and be a Part of the Wolf Pack Pride!
. - Calling all MUNNERS — and wanna-be Munners!! If you would like to attend an early Model UN conference this October, please get a permission slip from Mr. McDermott in room C105. All interested students in all grades are welcome to attend — whether you’ve done Model UN before, or are just getting started. See Mr. McDermott with any questions.
. - 2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate? CHEERLEADERS!! Tryouts for Co-ed Cheerleading begin next MONDAY. But if you’re planning to try out, you must have attended one of the clinics this week and learned the routine. Also, be sure to complete the QR code outside of the Activities Office, and you must have a current physical on file. Contact Coach Herb or see Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
. - Hispanic Heritage Month is just around the corner — and WMS is gearing-up for a host of activities and celebrations. But we can’t do it without YOU! Any students who would like to help plan the events for Hispanic Heritage Month are encouraged to contact Ms. Wielechowski in room 124 before or after school. Thanks for your help, and for supporting Hispanic Heritage Month, wolves!!
. - This is last day of National Suicide Prevention Week. Thanks to everyone for the attention, unity and support you’ve demonstrated all week long as we’ve highlighted this important issue.
.
But even though the week is ending, Suicide Prevention will continue to be an emphasis all year long. Please remember: you are not alone. Each of us can make a difference by being kind, checking in on friends, and reaching out when we need support. The entire community here at WMS cares about YOU.
.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to someone you trust — a friend, a teacher, a counselor, a family member, or another trusted adult. You can also call the suicide prevention hotline at 988. For more information about Suicide Prevention, please contact Ms. Battle or Ms. Chisolm. Thanks for supporting Suicide Prevention, wolves!!
