Today, we will continue to follow a modified “C” Day schedule. TA is extended until 8:50am, and then you’ll proceed to all SEVEN of your assigned classes. And if you’re still learning your way around the school, don’t worry — staff will be posted throughout the halls to help you get where you’re going.

Calling all athletes! The fall sports season is here. First up — Tryouts for Co-ed Tennis and Boys Soccer both begin next TUESDAY, September 2nd. If you have any questions, see Mr. Treble about boys soccer, or email Coach Chris or see Ms. Hogwood about co-ed tennis.

Girls Ultimate is scheduled to begin a week later, on MONDAY, September 8th. But there are NO TRYOUTS! Girls from all grades and of all experience levels are welcome to play. See Mr. Smolinski with any questions.

We’re also getting ready for Co-ed Cheerleading. There will be more information about Cheer tryouts soon — so stay tuned!!

To participate in any WMS sport, please sign up by scanning the TWO QR codes outside of the Activities Office, located across from the cafeteria.

Plus, you MUST have a current physical on file to participate in after-school athletics. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Physicals for fall sports are DUE by September 2nd. Contact our Activities Coordinator, Ms. Hogwood, for more information about getting a physical, or with any other questions about school sports.

And now for a “Transportation Tip” about riding the bus. If you’re ever planning to take a bus that’s not your own — like if you’re going to a friend’s house after school — you MUST bring a note from home to the main office NO LATER than your grade level lunch. Again, do NOT wait until the end of the day to get a bus pass — because there isn’t time and you’ll miss the bus! See Ms. Shorter in the office with any questions.

Up next, we need to talk about LOCKERS!! If you’re planning to decorate a friend’s locker, you may ONLY do so AFTER SCHOOL. Also, please remember that all decorations must be REMOVED after two weeks — we’ve got to keep our lockers neat and clean both INSIDE and OUTSIDE. Last thing: please make sure you’re CLOSING your locker every time so it locks. And if it won’t close, see your TA teacher for help.
