  • Today we will be following the B-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 2, 4, 5, and 6 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is a B-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • Read any good books lately? The Talk about Books Club — a.k.a. TAB — will be meeting TODAY during all grade level lunches in the library. So grab your grub and come take a look at these Totally Awesome Books!!
    .
  • Calling all MUNNERS!! The Model UN is meeting TODAY during ASP I in room C105. Participants will debrief from last Saturday’s conference, and prepare for their own historical simulation later this month. All are welcome! See Mr. McDermott with any questions.
    .
  • Do you like candy??? Do you like donuts??? Then you’re in luck!  The WMS check-in program is selling CANDY all month long — every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school by the cafeteria.  Plus, they’ll have DONUTS every Friday! All money raised will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society — an organization that helps kids with cancer.  Cash only, please!! See Ms. Kia with any questions.  And thanks for your support, wolves!
    .
  • Attention Anime-niacs!! There will be NO Anime Club meeting this week OR next week.  But meetings will resume on Wednesday, May 21st as we close out the year.  Once again, Anime Club is CANCELLED for the next 2 weeks. Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions.
    .
  • Who wants BARBEQUE???  This Wednesday, Sloppy Mama’s Barbecue on Langston Boulevard is hosting a fundraiser for the WMS PTA between 11am and 8pm.
    .
Just mention “Williamsburg PTA” when you order in person, or enter the code “Williamsburg PTA” when ordering online — and 15-percent of the sale will go towards our school.  Thanks for your help, Wolf Pack, and enjoy the barbecue!!
    .
  • It’s Mental Health Awareness Week here at WMS.  And today’s theme is “Stressors and Stigma.”  Stress can have a very negative impact on mental health. And it often causes physical symptoms like headaches, sleep issues, or stomach problems.
    .
But many people who are struggling with mental health DON’T seek help because of the STIGMA attached to it.  But we need to remember that our mental health is nothing to be ashamed of.  Your teachers, counselors, friends, and family all care about you — and want to help.
    .
So let’s BREAK THE STIGMA! Students and staff are encouraged to wear GREEN this Friday in support of Mental Health Awareness.  Thanks for your help, Wolves!!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade chorus students — who sang the National Anthem at Capitol One Arena last month before the Wizards – Magic game.
    .
You got to see a video of their performance at the beginning of our newscast today — and I hope you all agree that they did an AMAZING job.  Way to go, singing wolves!! [clap]
