- Today we will be following the C-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1 through 7 — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. And remember, there is NO Wolf Time today. Again, this is a C-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
. - Believe it or not, but this FRIDAY is the last day of the 3rd Quarter! So be sure to check StudentVue and talk to your teachers about any missing assignments or make-up work. Again, 3rd Quarter grades close on FRIDAY.
. - And speaking of the end-of-the quarter, it’s nearly time for the 3rd quarter Wolf Paw Drawing!! That’s right — the 3rd Quarter Wolf Paw Drawing is this FRIDAY. But to be eligible for a prize, you MUST submit your Wolf Paws by TODAY. Prizes are now on display outside of the library. There’s some great stuff in there, so go take a look! But again, you must submit your Wolf Paws TODAY. Good luck!!
. - Attention Anime Club! This is a reminder to bring your Spring Showcase submission to today’s meeting, scheduled for ASP 1 in room 109. And if it’s a digital submission, be sure to send it to Evie M. in advance. Contact Ms. Armistead with any questions. Happy creating!
. Ready, set, READ!! We’ve made it to the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND of the March Madness Tournament of Books! This year’s contenders are “Grenade” by Alan Gratz versus “Keeper of the Lost Cities” by Shannon Messenger. Both are AMAZING books — but which will be the champion???
.
Here’s how to participate: Just go to the WMS Library Canvas Course and cast your vote by this THURSDAY — and we’ll announce the champion on Friday. And remember: the TA in each grade with the best bracket will win a prize — so make your vote count! The March Madness Tournament of Books — may the best book win!!
.- What’s that buzz? It’s the WMS Geo Bee! Classroom competitions are currently underway. Do you have what it takes to win the annual event this year? Let’s find out with this sample question!
.
In what countries can you find the following landmarks? 1 — The Palace of Versailles; 2 — the Brandenburg Gate; and 3 — the London Bridge?
.
And the answers are: The Palace of Versailles is in FRANCE; the Brandenburg Gate is in GERMANY; and the London Bridge is in the UNITED STATES!! That last one was a trick question — the London Bridge was moved to Arizona in 1971 and rebuilt brick-by-brick.
.
How’d you do? Contact your Social Studies teacher for more information about competing in the WMS Geo Bee. And may the best student win!!
