  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.

  • Attention WMS wrestling team!!  All wrestlers must weigh-in TODAY by 10am for this afternoon’s match at Gunston Middle School.  Once again, be sure to weigh-in by 10 o’clock this morning.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • The Spring Sports season has arrived!!  Student-athletes are reminded that to participate, you MUST submit your completed sports physical form to the yellow mailbox outside of the Activities Office.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.

  • And now for a “wellness tip” from our school clinic!  It’s cold, flu, and covid season again — so here are three simple strategies for keeping our shared environment HEALTHY and SAFE!  First — WASH YOUR HANDS!!  Second — Fully cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.  And third — if you’re not feeling well, please STAY HOME.  Together, we can stop these germs and viruses BEFORE they spread.  See our school nurse with any questions.

  • Have you checked the lost and found lately? A TON of lost items have been turned-in throughout the year:  water bottles, lunch boxes, hats, sweatshirts, and more!  So if you’ve lost anything, be sure to check the lost and found in the cafeteria, the main office, the library, and in each of your teachers’ classrooms.  You may just find some long lost treasures!!

  • ASFF, 2025Calling all film-makers, journalists, and video-jockeys! The 13th annual Arlington Student FilmFest is now accepting entries for its 2025 competition. The application deadline is March 29th, and the Film Festival is scheduled for April 30th at Wakefield High School. To participate, please contact Mr. Schonfeld and he’ll walk you through the application process.  Now go make some movie magic!

  • Attention 6th graders! WMS is now recruiting STUDENT AMBASSADORS for the remainder of the year!  Student Ambassadors represent our school at special events, help to build a positive community, and give tours to new students!
    .
    The first big event is next April, when HUNDREDS of rising 6th graders are scheduled to visit our school.  So we’re looking for outgoing, responsible, and friendly students who will make them feel welcome here in our shared community.
    .
    If you’d like to apply to be a 6th grade Student Ambassador, please pick up an application from the Main Office or the Counseling Suite.  It must be completed and returned by Monday, March 17th.  See Ms. Russo with any questions.
