  • Today we will be following the A-Day schedule. That means you’ll be attending periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 — plus Wolf Time — so be sure to double-check that you’ve got the correct books and binders for class. Again, this is an A-Day. See your TA teacher with any questions.
    .
  • On your marks, get set, GO!! The WMS Track and Field team is looking to defend its County Championship this year.  So if you are as fast as a cheetah, or can jump as high as a kangaroo — Track and Field needs YOU!! There will be an informational meeting for Track and Field on TUESDAY after school in the gym.  Meet the coach, returning players, and learn everything you need to know about tryouts.
    .
  • And don’t forget that everyone who competes in an after-school sport MUST complete a sports physical form, and submit it to the yellow mailbox outside of the Activities office.  See Ms. Hogwood with any questions.
    .
  • And now for a “technology tip” from Ms. Stokes-Beverley and Ms. Hwang!  Your school-issued iPad is critical to your instruction here at WMS. Please remember that you are expected to bring it to school EVERY DAY and FULLY CHARGED.  And if there’s anything wrong with it, please tell your TA teacher so they can notify technology support. They’ll have you back online in no time!!
    .
  • 2025 Yearbook ad -- v1If a picture is worth a thousand words — then the WMS Yearbook is absolutely PRICELESS!  The 2025 Yearbook is on sale NOW!  It’s just 47-dollars to buy — and you can order online by scanning the QR code on your screen, or by going to the WMS website.  But only about 175 copies remain in stock — so make sure to get YOURS before they’re gone.  Contact Ms. McFerran with any questions.  Don’t miss out on the memories!
    .
  • And now it’s time for WOLF PACK PRIDE!!  Big Props to the WMS wrestling team, who have been doing a GREAT job this season.
    .
They’ve won two of their four matches so far, and are still in the mix for the County Championship. So let’s be sure to root them on to victory.  Way to go, wrestling wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • Wolf Pack Pride continues with the Continental Math League competition.  Dozens of our students-mathematicians put their knowledge to the test last month, and they did GREAT!
    .
Big props to our 1st place finishers:  in 8th grade — Daniel P.; in 7th grade — Charles G. and William P.; and in 6th grade — Mason C., Adrian K., and Robert R.  And congratulations to ALL of our competitors for representing our school with pride.  Way to go, mathematical wolves!! [clap]
    .
  • DC sports fans are going CRAZY about the Washington Capitals this year — who have a real chance to go deep into the post season.
    .
And maybe even hoist the Stanley Cup — for the first time since 2018.  Student-reporters Mark and Evan have the story. Roll tape!!
  • And now for a quick update on the Washington Capitals.  In the time since we filmed that last story, the Capitals are still in 1st place in their division, and Alex Ovechkin is just TEN goals away from tying the all-time scoring record.  Let’s go Caps!!!
    .
  • And finally, March is Women’s History Month — a time to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions that WOMEN and GIRLS have made throughout history.
    .
And now, stay tuned for this video about Women’s History Month — and the Women’s Rights Movement. Roll tape!!
